Re: Oct 26 Game
All signs point to Boone. I think the main questions left are, how in Boone which is why there hasn’t been an announcement.

Re: Oct 26 Game
Game time still TBD, which leads me to believe a noon start to help with logistics on and off the mountain.

Re: Oct 26 Game
Some have suggested that an earlier time than usual but perhaps later than Noon, so that folks would likely spend enough time to hit downtown to spend some money. But, also earlier enough to encourage folks to get off the mountain before dark.

Re: Oct 26 Game
1pm seems most feasible. Gives people plenty of time to spread out the stress on infrastructure (7am-1230pm) in the morning getting up the mountain... tailgate, lunch/breakfast, shop...etc.
And leave after the game so no need for hotel/get down to CLT for the concert!!

Re: Oct 26 Game
I was thinking the same thing .1 or 2 pm .. especially for people driving a good distance. Not sure the Mothership would allow the odd time.311neers wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 10:10 am1pm seems most feasible. I think they don't really care what time you play if it's only on ESPN+, which I assume this one will be.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2024 10:20 amI was thinking the same thing .1 or 2 pm .. especially for people driving a good distance. Avery county announced they are going to try to resume school on Nov 6th. Just noting that things are far from being back to normal up here.

Re: Oct 26 Game
I would hope they would move the game before playing in Boone with no fans.

Re: Oct 26 Game
Hate to say it, but I suspect that the crowd will be smaller since the team is 2-4 and has lost 3 straight.
Although perhaps fans will show up to help give Boone a boost after a terrible time.
I hope so. Go App!

Don't forget it's homecoming. I would imagine some of the rentals/hotels are not available anymore

Re: Oct 26 Game
The record may affect some people but I don't think it will be that big of a deal in determining attendance. A day in Boone watching App lose is a lot better than a day at home. We will likely lose the out of stater's or people who were planning a fall vacation + the game but that may only be a small %.

Re: Oct 26 Game
I believe the impact on attendance will be effects of Helene and not the record.

I’d be there if I had a ticket.
