Still waiting. I expected an announcement yesterday but nothing.

All signs point to Boone. I think the main questions left are, how in Boone which is why there hasn’t been an announcement.

Game time still TBD, which leads me to believe a noon start to help with logistics on and off the mountain.

Could play with no fans depending on infrastructure

That would be puzzling since 20,000 students are currently on campus.

Some have suggested that an earlier time than usual but perhaps later than Noon, so that folks would likely spend enough time to hit downtown to spend some money. But, also earlier enough to encourage folks to get off the mountain before dark.

1pm seems most feasible. Gives people plenty of time to spread out the stress on infrastructure (7am-1230pm) in the morning getting up the mountain... tailgate, lunch/breakfast, shop...etc.
And leave after the game so no need for hotel/get down to CLT for the concert!!

I was thinking the same thing .1 or 2 pm .. especially for people driving a good distance. Not sure the Mothership would allow the odd time.

I think they don't really care what time you play if it's only on ESPN+, which I assume this one will be.

Avery county announced they are going to try to resume school on Nov 6th. Just noting that things are far from being back to normal up here.

Western Carolina did that 2 weeks ago. No fans.

I would hope they would move the game before playing in Boone with no fans.

Hate to say it, but I suspect that the crowd will be smaller since the team is 2-4 and has lost 3 straight.

Although perhaps fans will show up to help give Boone a boost after a terrible time.

I hope so. Go App!

Don't forget it's homecoming. I would imagine some of the rentals/hotels are not available anymore :( but if the game is on and they allow "unlimited" spectators I expect 30K in attendance. If it wasn't homecoming I agree with you, and don't expect a large turnout for the ODU game other than students and locals

The record may affect some people but I don't think it will be that big of a deal in determining attendance. A day in Boone watching App lose is a lot better than a day at home. We will likely lose the out of stater's or people who were planning a fall vacation + the game but that may only be a small %.

I believe the impact on attendance will be effects of Helene and not the record.

If they have it in boone with no fans when they could of had it at wake with fans there will be plenty of people pissed, That's a bad strategy.

I’d be there if I had a ticket.

Doubt you will have trouble finding one if you ask around.
