Yes, young QB who matured as the season progressed. QB was impressive by end of year.

Feel like if it were Loggains, Stonewall would have been posting 80’s movie themed songs.

I love people that troll a coach they know nothing about
I wish DG and the search committee would have thought to look at his damn Wikipedia page

Well, he's certainly qualified to be a head coach of a G5 program.asu7 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2024 4:35 pmEven the mothership is reporting https://www.thestate.com/sports/college ... 39449.html
I wouldn't hold his offense at South Carolina against him too much, until this year they haven't had a SEC caliber QB.
This year they are averaging 31 points and 400 yards per game, so pretty good numbers once he had a QB.
If he's the guy, obviously he should be given support.

What the FFFFFFFF! Dude has been a bust EVERYWHERE he has been. Fire yourself DG. The only way I could accept this is if literally all the other names rejected the job at App after being offered.
I will pull for him if this is true simply because I support App State in everything, but I am not happy at all with this hire. I'm going to wait for the official announcement but I'll have to let that simmer and probably won't post again about it if he is the hire. Wow....we ranked higher than them in total offense.

LOL.
Clark's resume isn't even in the same universe with Dowell Loggains.
Not saying I'm thrilled with the hire, but he's far more qualified than Clark.

Just because you have worked a lot of places doesn’t make you the right person for the job.

More qualified? Sure, I’ll give you that.
A better coach? I don’t know. He hasn’t lasted more than two seasons in ANY coaching job he’s held. His stats are abysmal. He has done next to nothing in the SEC.
If this is the hire, I have to know why. I need to see what he promised DG to get the offer or what dirt he has on DG or the BOT to secure the spot.

I’d almost argue that if you blind resume Clark’s next to Loggains that Clark would clearly be the better candidate

Who were the better options? Who wanted the job that we said, sorry you aren’t worth our time.

Re: Realistic coaching options for 2025...
Does not give me the warm fuzzies. Clark was a feel good hire because we had just been burned by a one and done after losing a native son so we hired another. Ultimately he proved he could not maintain or advance the program, develop talent or demand discipline. That is what I will be looking for from this guy. I really have no idea

Well, I’ll have to say I’m underwhelmed HOWEVER, this reminds me of the Drinkwitz hire. I felt the same way. I’ll get on board.
