PWO to me means they really want to be in Boone and it's not about the money.

Not discounting your thought but I would be willing to bet that we have a bunch of scholarship players who get little to nothing in NIL money. But that’s just a complete guess. Isn’t it interesting that with the money being all “above board” now we still know little to nothing about how much money is changing hands.

There were only about 10 guys getting deals last year.

Wonder how long it will take the OL to get pissed off that the QB is getting several million in NIL while they get around $5,000? The QB's numbers are only as good as the line is blocking for him. I just threw out those numbers and doesn't apply to App or could it but with other NIL amounts. Players will get jealous at some point they aren't making the same. It happens all the time in the business world.

But those NFL o-linemen still make a REALLY good living. And they're grown men, not immature teenagers/young twentysomethings. College football as we have known it is over. It won't be long before they don't even have to go to class.

There is certainly the possibility that NIL disparity can adversely affect team chemistry and the locker room; and is something that has to be managed.

This is what I'm so scared of at App. I hope no, but money does cause problems.

I don’t think it becomes an issue as long as the player deserves it. These kids are really smart and observant about what’s going on in the locker room. They know who busts their ass and who doesn’t. As long as the guy making the coin is working hard then it is generally a non issue.

I tend to agree with this. I will say I respect 24/7 but there seems to be a lot of censorship happening over there. Not easy for mods patrolling either of these message boards. I'm sure its been said before but I think on both sites people would have a different tone if it was face to face with some of the things that are said to each other. I myself stepped back not posting a lot and just reading and damn - sh#t gets personal. I know I was at fault as well in some instances.

I’m not privy to the 247 site drama details. I wasn’t personally offended, just had several comments of mine that were deleted for head scratching reasons. It made it not fun to be a part of that community. If I’m not allowed to express my disdain for Eric Church, then what’s the point?

Don’t wanna turn this into an App 247 critique thread, so I’ll try and keep it positive. If you want to see how a 247 site should be run then take a look at Stephen Igoe over at ECUs 247 site. Regular articles with good information shared. Not much extra posting by him preaching at his membership. And most importantly to me, you actually get inside info that you pay for in real time, rather than post mortem coverage that you tend to get at the App 247 site, which I feel typically tends to be just conjecture for the most part.

What’s most disappointing to me is sites like that are how you can grow a fan base. Feels like a wasted opportunity that I wish could be rectified in some way. We just have such little coverage of the nuts and bolts of the football program when compared to schools like ECU, NCSU, and UNC. Which all have fantastic 247 sites.
