It is a bummer but he has been offered a lot of money from some bigger schools. He may stay in-state.

I figured the same thing. It will be interesting to see what school lands him. The word is that schools are hurrying to try to land deals before the house settlement is finalized and I believe that he will land more money now than he would have back in December. We brought in a lot of transfers and have some good young players so next man up.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 8:37 pmIt is a bummer but he has been offered a lot of money from some bigger schools. Assume one is already lined up, entering the portal today is either a graceful exit from the sport, open to transfer “down”, or there is a suitor with money at the door. This appears to be the latter.

Per Sources: Another fan favorite is expected to re-enter the portal… More to come as the portal heats up.

Those are the ones that entered and returned.

Nothing against any player who leaves but it is what it is. No reason for any of us to get upset or worry about it. If someone wants to waste their money to overpay for some players then that is their problem. I think many of us are at a point where we just care about the block A on the helmet and not worried about the last name anymore.ASUFan4863 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 12:02 pmPer Sources: Another fan favorite is expected to re-enter the portal… More to come as the portal heats up.
They are pretty much paid mercenaries who either directly or through an agent shop and sell their talent to the highest bidder. If they aren't invested in App and here to stay then I am not going to be invested in them. I don't support NIL in this form as the money should either be based on the revenue they draw or based on performance and the offer to Samuel is just to poach him because OSU is desperate for an OL.
If I am going to invest big money it is going to go towards a facility that all fans and players can enjoy rather than throw down a rabbit hole to 1 player who will blow that money. I do commend those players who are using theirs as seed money to create a business or something but that is not always the case.

I don't think anyone hates the player but many of us are just apathetic and we just want to focus on those players who want to be here. If he goes to Oklahoma State then he has that fan base. I just hope that Loggains focuses heavily on HS recruiting and we take advantage of all the good talent being overlooked in HS.

They can take the names off the back of the jersey for all I care. It's just a random collection of guys for each season now.

I used to try to get to know the players and their families. Now frankly I don’t go out of my way. It’s just not the same culture.

100%. As a kid I use to think that adults doing it were just jock sniffers but if you give money and are invested I get it. With how it is now there is no reason to go out of our way to get to know them. Most just care about the money. Not all are like this and there are some good ones but they are the minority these days.

I am making my extra contributions to a Div lll school for kids who really appreciate it. These kids are happy to get a pizza on the bus heading back to campus.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 12:57 pmNothing against any player who leaves but it is what it is.
