I get that things look bleak and we got our tails handed to us Saturday, but to act like we are getting blown out every week is a bit ridiculous. We have been in every game this year except for Boise State and JMU. There have been a couple of great, several good and too many bad moments. Our point differential is -56 in conference, with -48 of those from JMU. The silver lining is that this season will be as bad as things get. I could do a lot of things Saturday, but none of those would make me as happy as sitting in the stands of KBS - win or lose
I want to believe that, but what evidence do you have from this season to make that statement?

I guess I would just point to the overall lack of talent and depth and dissatisfaction from everyone. Everyone knows it’s not acceptable to stay at this current level and things will be different to make sure that isn’t the case. I don’t know what will or won’t change, but I’m almost positive there will be another significant flip of the roster.
In this portal age it is possible to make significant changes for the better quicker than in the past. But, there is no guarantee that what we bring in through the portal will be any better than what exists now. That also assumes that what talent we have that is producing now will be back. I think we all are hopeful that this gets turned around but maybe there's more than just a lack of talent at play.
It is very possible there is more at play. Unfortunately, we won’t find that out this year.

I love the suspense of a “ more at play” comment😱

One of the ESPN talking heads made a comment that the most important step in today’s world for G6 programs is to retain your existing talent.
I agree. Whatever shining stars we have on this roster we need to retain and build from that base (it may be a small one). Maybe we’re retaining a freshman kicker at this point, but some consistency would be better than none.
