Marshall fans yapping online about our bad broadcast view and our announcers being bad.
Ask me if I give a fat baby’s ass what their fans think about our crew.

Spoiler: I don’t care about their opinion at all. They’re pissed because they lost. I listened to their crew last year, they can deal with ours once every 2 years.
If you don’t like em, beat em!
Shouldn’t have lost!
Eat that Marsha.

Im gonna keep doubting.....we barely won with THREE turnovers. That two point try at the beginning of the game was a ridiculous coaching decision. I truly hope i am wrong. By the way....great job players....you dug deep and made it happen. Thank you.

Can’t argue on announcers.
Can’t argue on the camera either… too far and too poor a camera… looks blurred when showing the 22 cam - much better when zoomed in with diff cams

Our peers seem to all have same issues with announcers as us. Poor Avery reminds me of Dandy Don Merrideth on MNF back in the day. He is just there because? I'm actually ok with him and DJ though.
We definitely need work on camera shots. Some views look like we are watching from a satellite.

Our announcers are definitely homers. If I was an opposing fan I would also find them annoying
Every home team announcer on ESPN+ is a homer for their school. Our guys do as good or better than most, minus Avery screaming out loud about the missed holding call.

That missed holding call was blatant, though.

It’s been said many times that there is holding on every play. I believe it. As far as the announcers go, do those people not understand how plus works? How many ESPN crews do they think are employed by the mother ship? I believe that you can choose (on some games) to watch with the announcers for either school. Avery does ok but he tends to ramble on while a play is going on. Not that big of a deal.

Yeah, not the time to try and serve up crow, this game was won on pure defensive grit. Those guys made some plays when it mattered.

He ain’t wrong. Says the right things. Now time to go n*t up and beat Arky State in our house for a chance at an extra game.

Let’s go bowling. Rest up and get healthy, especially Lewis and Dubinion.
Glad he was straight forward and took responsibility for the dumb 2pt attempt. I can't figure him out... I get so many mixed messages about him. That was a very good post game presser though.

A couple of weeks ago, I was eyeing these final two games as a chance to sneak into a bowl game. Games I thought at the time were coin flips but winnable. Right now I cannot say I have that same level of minimal confidence. We are hurt so badly everywhere, and last week was the kind of game that causes many a season to be punted on from within the locker room.

Everyone wants to look for reasons to fire the coaching staff yesterday. This is absolutely the type of game that can show off their current coaching skills in terms of motivation. Win or lose, I think the effort our team shows out there will be the most important thing we see.
I think we can safely say we saw motivated play and the effort was definitely there.

I do get the discourse about pros and cons of the game. Takeaways, execution, etc. Did we play a clean game? Not in the slightest. But to say I’m not pumped at the fact that this team came out and hung onto a win that keeps our bowl dreams alive says a lot. These players could have mailed it in today and instead, they chose to battle. A win is a win and this is one I’ll gladly take… shoutout to the fans who were in the stadium today: we stayed, cheered, and walked out winners.

People can bark all they want but the team could have easily quit at this point in this season.

Big credit for playing hard. More important than many seem to believe. I don’t think motivating them could be easy and I’m giving DL and co credit for it.

Consider his target audience and I don’t think it’s a problem that he speaks a little younger.

Though I think he sounds very similar to the prior coach sometimes in his pressers. More polished but same vibes.

I am editing this post because I actually have no idea how he sounds 22. He sounds exactly like how I would expect a coach that just came off a last minute win to sound and he said all the right things.

Thought student turnout was decent. Miller relatively full. Student section on West side was full in the middle with some bare spots on the ends. They were loud even with lesser attendance.
Cannot speak to entire NEZ, however, our section below us seemed to have more people in it as compared to the early November home game.

Any word if Barnes may be able to play again next week? Our passing attack seemed so limited without him being involved

After 4 straight losses including the pounding by JMU, it was really great to see the fight (head scratching decisions/play calls aside)....with the 2005 team in attendance and a hard fought win it felt like App State football again, at least for one weekend in Boone.

After 2 straight seasons of no bowl game, it sure would be nice to finish 6-6 and get the extra game with a shot at a winning season.

Still a lot of work to do on this re-build and figuring out the model that works for us in this NIL/transfer portal era, but going on a 3 game win streak & bowl win to finish this mediocre season would be great momentum heading in to the off-season.

The Kidd Brewer curse was on full display yesterday, fumbles tend to happen on that end of the field. Furman's Ingle Martin fumble that helped App to the 2005 National Championship and JMU's fumble in the 2007 playoffs.

I like the way coach takes responsibility for his mistakes. I still believe in the guy. This season was derailed by major injuries to the o line. Give the man some time folks.

We won. Got outplayed for the most part , but it matters not. Made plays when we had too. I slept better .
