Mr. Craig...preach! We are rebuilding. Proud of the fight, "if" we can get the personal to match the vision, we will be back.

Keep the guys that want to be here AND are good, and dominate the portal. Keep the current committed recruits and get them signed in the ESD. Get as many as you can on Campus for early enrollees in December 2025.
Don’t be afraid to push the FCS talent to the portal.

He has a year , or two . Finances dictate that. I hope he turns it around. Today I see no reason to think that he will. However if he can portal a game changer at QB I might be persuaded.

I like all of that. Where is the part where the coaching gets better? I’m not trying to be a jerk I just feel like everyone is REALLY giving DLO too much credit for being competent when he’s shown zero evidence of that this season, talent or not311neers wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 8:24 pmKeep the guys that want to be here AND are good, and dominate the portal. Much like a team should improve game one to two, I would also expect a first time HC to improve year one to two. Not sure how much.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 8:30 pmI like all of that. I just hope he doesn’t lose the team after a disappointing 5-7 season with no remarkable wins. At least we extended the streaks over Georgia State and Charlotte.

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30
Maybe if we had a sharp OC upstairs they would have recognized it and gotten a timeout called. Did anyone on the field or sidelines even realize that we were lined up illegally? Evidently not.
Also thinking that we should NEVER have to even attempt 7(?) field goals in a game. Just shows we were not moving the ball well. Stalled drives.
This game was over for us when we didn’t cash in with a touchdown on that last possession.
We are in deep trouble.

How long until we hear anything on S&C? Could be the first domino.

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30
We may have been better off to go for the TD and give them the ball at the 11. It may not have mattered, but it may have changed the dynamic. Especially, if the clock was sitting at 1:00 vs. 1:41, had we managed the clock better. Guess we have the whole off-season to debate this.appfanjj wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 8:55 pmMaybe if we had a sharp OC upstairs they would have recognized it and gotten a timeout called. Or don’t let them go 75 yards in 35 seconds for an easy TD.
Or just hit the kick.
Or don’t lineup illegally.
Or catch the TD in the 1st.
When the big play was needed, we mentally crumbled. Coaches and players both.

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30
People knock the offense, deservedly so.
But, you will not win crap giving up 33 points a game in conference.
We gave up 264 points in 8 games…
Almost dead last in conference defense.
Offense wasn’t much better. Might not have been.

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30
We are just not good. When we were winning I was worried we were going to get ECU in a bowl game to sell a lot of tickets. ECU would beat us by 50 this year. I hope DLO can turn it around next year. If you cant run (not throw) a play to get 1 yard when the game is on the line....you really don't deserve to win and you definitely are not a good team. That being said the team played hard (very proud of the ones giving their all)...we were just not a good team. I don't know if it is the new normal....bad coaching...bad luck....bad players...I just know both teams (ArkState or AppState) were going to get clobbered in a bowl game.

Re: FB vs the fake ASU Saturday at 2:30
What is the vision exactly? I completely understand the position that DLO should get another year. I absolutely don’t understand the smug, “we see his vision” position. He’s not some football genius who’s playing 4D chess. He’s fumbling his way through and we are all hoping he somehow figures it out.

Yes, but this is an area where the HC could have affected the outcome.311neers wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 9:35 pmSo many ifs.WASU 93 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 29, 2025 9:31 pmWe may have been better off to go for the TD and give them the ball at the 11. When the big play was needed, we mentally crumbled. Coaches and players both.
It was also an area to improve upon from last week where our QB took a big hit on the final play to run out the clock.
We also made some plays this week including some big catches from our receivers down the stretch (and some big throws from our QB).
We won the turnover battle today.
We had a balanced attack from our offense with 271 yards passing and 182 yards passing.
We had three sacks and four TFL's, tackled well in the open field and have several passes defended.
We had players gutting it out and getting back on the field after injuries.
Our defense made an interception an forced two punts in the 4th quarter/Twice we had the ball with the chance for a TD to increase our lead to two scores.
In my opinion, we also put our kicker on the wrong hash for the game winner. He doinked one off the right upright from the same hash/similar distance when ArkSt called a timeout just before halftime.
Yes, we did have execution issues, but the last 4 minutes could have been coached differently to take advantage of the many things our players did do right today.
