Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!

I look at where we are today compared to the day Gillin took the job and ask: are we better off? On every metric, I come up with a resounding yes. Sure, there are areas of disappointment (elimination of men’s soccer and failure to complete the North End Zone, to name a couple). But every day I’m grateful we have a capable, dedicated leader atop our athletics department.

Are you forgetting football coaches?

Feels like we’re kinda right back where we were in 2015. But on the down slide.

I do wonder if he reads the board. I would absolutely love (not sarcasm) if I had a place where people openly shared their opinions about my workplace. Maybe he just sees us all as overly whiney.

I actually think he sees some folks online as overly whiney. We have some folks who I would love to see how they react if people watched them work and constantly critiqued on their jobs all the time lol

If whining is asking the AD to actually embrace new ideas and try different things to increase revenue generation, then I'm whiney.
Good is the enemy of best. Gillin has been better than Cobb by a mile, but how many opportunities to grow the have been squandered?

And BTW, many of us actually work for others who do observe our work everyday and critique it. The "others" can be customers, company leaders, principals, parents, etc. who expect our best.

We need to come up with something great to start the 4th quarter. What we have now is just boring. Used to be Mountain Music but that is usually the 2nd half song of the game.

I do like the “4th Quarter at The Rock” video they do. Good motivational video, just to follow it up with a song that gets the students and players jumping.

But, you’ve gotta pull the video if we are down three scores. It’s pitiful to play in an empty stadium.

Also, there needs to be energy, if you are going to ask “Can you feel the energy?”

Boise does a great job with the transition into the 4th quarter.
