Looked better later in the year when the running game made adjustments to move linemen to run outside to mix it up from inside run game. Helped Trig tremendously.

Part of the 1200 yards was dependent on catching passes thrown to them. Can’t get yards dropping balls.

Other than losing Dozier, I’m looking forward to seeing fresh blood in the WR room. The lack of WR focus was endemic and we saw zero improvement as the season progressed.

Not to mention Dozier and MBake both missed significant time to injury.

Interesting comments from another father of a player. And some more comments from an ex player/alumni I believe who seems to be in the know.

That’s 2 outspoken parents as of late. Hmmm
A parent/recruit would have to be pretty gullible to accept on faith a sales pitch any college football coach has to offer. That’s on them if they thought App would have three 1,200-yard receivers with a couple of 1,000-yard ball carriers.
A college assistant once told me you tell recruits whatever you have to if you want them to commit. It sounds bad until you realize every other coach is doing the same thing.

I doubt that any player thought he was making the same promise to everyone. Each probably thought they would be the featured guy without realizing that the same promise was made to others. But your point remains the same, be careful of recruiting promises, they often don't pan out for one reason or another.
