Re: Leaving Games Early
What gets me more than anything is the fact we had thousands of empty seats to begin with. According to GoASU they were all sold in advance but many people never showed. Of course there will be a few people who have things pop up last minute but this has been a trend every week. It's surprising that people would spend the money to purchase tickets but not show up. Maybe demand for App football is starting to slide now that we are 5 years removed from 2007???

Re: Leaving Games Early
By most standards ASU's fan base is relatively young. Most do not understand what it takes to be a hard core. I have a hard time understanding people leaving early. Why pay the price of a ticket(s), drive several hours and leave before the game is over? Weekends in Boone are special to us and we take advantage of every second. We come up early, explore campus, tailgate and stay as late as possible. My kids started going to the games when they were 2-3. They sat beside us the entire time. We made it fun in the stands and allowed them to play before and after the game. No visits to the bank so they could roam around and no kicking or screaming in the seats was tolerated. We always stayed to the end. If the day was going to be particularly hot, cold or wet we made arrangements for them to be taken care of until they were old enough to tough it out. Guess that made us bad parents. But the kids, now ASU graduates, share the same passion for ASU football as their parents, maybe more so.
