Question for AppState247 users
I, like many of you am on a budget and just wanted to know if you feel that the $107 and change per year is worth it for the App247 site ? Just let me know your thoughts.
Re: Question for AppState247 users
mixed feelings, first, the site is well put togeather, you get alot of information on future prospects, and the guys who provide the information, are very good and seem to take their job seriously. But the biggest negative I have is the lack of conversation between fans, this board is the best in terms of fans discussing issues year round. The 247 is okay during football season, but once that ends, the board goes dead until the next season. Personally, I plan to renew my membership for one more year, but Im doing it because I have a real passion for everything that is App, and I want as much infro I can get from multiple sites, not because I think 247 is worth the 107.00. I guess looking at the 247 is it worth the money.....debatable, to me the site is worth around 75-85 dollars a year.

From fall camp (August) through February (recruiting) it is more than worth it. It's like putting swimming pool dues on an annual payment plan.
During the season I'd pay $20/month.

I really appreciate you looking into the site and figured I would add on to moehler and Saint's comments.MDaniels84 wrote:I, like many of you am on a budget and just wanted to know if you feel that the $107 and change per year is worth it for the App247 site ? Just let me know your thoughts.
Honestly, your interest level in recruiting and the X's and O's during the season will determine whether the site is a good value. Firemoose, AppGrad and the guys here do an excellent job reporting all of the offers and commitments throughout the year.
We interview prospects when they either commit, get an offer or take a visit which gives some first-hand insight into where they stand in the recruiting process or what factored into their decision. The site's been up and running for about a year and a half now and we've been able to develop some reliable sources that can help us from time to time as well in terms of knowing what the interest level is on both sides.
When fall camp gets started, I'll be up in Boone to cover some of the practices and conduct interviews. Throughout the season, we go fairly in-depth with our game previews and interview coaches/players to get their comments on game preparation.
Depending on your interest level in following the other sports, we also cover baseball and basketball heavily.
Of course, we'd love to get as many subscribers as possible but it really just depends what you're looking for. We are working hard to continue making the site better and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me - MikeHolloway@AppNation247.com.
Thanks,
Mike

I, too, have mixed feelings, but I'm in for another year. I'll drop Scout.com in all likelihood. For all practical purposes, we just don't exist there yet.

Re: Question for AppState247 users
I joined 247 a few months ago and I've been pretty satisfied with the site. I really look forward to what it's like during football season and will reserve my complete opinion until then. So far I give it 2 thumbs up. They have done some nice recent articles on some of the position groups so far and a nice article on the 2014 Michigan team we expect to see.

Re: Question for AppState247 users
My only problem is the fact that App pushed Rivals on the radio shows and how Rivals did a good job and then they fell off. 247 stepped in and became the leader and yet App has not given 247 the props it deserved. Rumors were that App actually gave 247 a hard time early on, instead of appreciating the coverage. Hopefully App pushes 247 on the radio like they did for Rivals so more people will join. 247 does a good job and is worth it, especially during the season.

Rivals is yahoo based. That is why App pushed them so much more.

Thanks for all of your feedback. I am a die hard App fan and supporter and will likely give it a shot this year. Can't wait until that first snap in Kidd Brewer this year !
