Deuce Robinson

Unread post by APPSTATE83 » Sat Jul 26, 2014 8:16 am

i met Deuce's parents at work a few weeks back here in Columbia, SC. Super nice people, Deuce's dad looks like he could suit up and knock some heads. They appreciated my ASU shrine in my office.

I met Deuce yesterday at the Yosef golf tournament and had a chance to chat briefly. It's easy to pull for a young man like that.

I've enjoyed chatting with them at games the last couple of years. You're right; James Robinson is big guy! They are great folks and travel all over to see their "little" boy play. I hope Deuce is healthy this year. He played the bulk of last year pretty badly dinged up and had shoulder surgery when the season was over.

Most importantly, meeting parents like Deuce's reminds me that every player on the field is someone's son and part of a family (regardless of how "functional" that family may be). If you sit on the west side, take time as you're leaving a game to meet the parents and thank them for the part they play in our team. You'll get to meet some very fine folks.

You can tel his dad loves/cares for him very much. Every time Deuce had some type of injury, big or small, his dad was right there in a matter of minutes giving him advice. Saw it over and over again last year. You guys are correct about his family, very nice people. Spoke with them after the El Cit game last year.
