I thought I would remind those have a hard time seeing the big picture and begin labeling our players with unfavorable names and want players suspended and/or coaches fired - Read this again ---

Leading the way is the academic performance of Appalachian State’s football program, which boasts a multi-year APR of 982, 38 points higher than the NCAA Division I FCS average of 944. The Mountaineers’ football APR easily leads the Southern Conference and is 25 points higher than the SoCon average of 957.

The award is a first for Appalachian State’s football program and the first for any Southern Conference gridiron squad since Furman and Wofford earned the distinction in 2006-07. Of the 14 NCAA Division I FCS schools to receive the prestigious recognition on Thursday, Appalachian is the only to offer a full allotment of 63 football scholarships and the lone public institution. Eight of the 14 hail from the academically esteemed Ivy League. The Mountaineers have boasted the SoCon’s highest APR for four-straight years (2007-08 through 2010-11) while also winning the conference championship each season under head coach Jerry Moore.

Yeah, but if we had more discipline we could have scored 5 or 10 points higher! Fire everybody!

This falls entirely on the coaching staff and shows a lack of discipline.

It also shows a lack of senior leadership; to a lesser extent, of course.

Some of our fans need to be "fired" also....like the two ASU fans sitting behind us who kept shouting "Call a f----- pass play, Satterfield" all during the Elon game when I took my 7 year old for his first game.
