Wasn't Taylor listed as 6'8" a few days ago? Keep growing kid! Can he play hoops? What a potential monster!

Star ratings are a little disappointed but I'm happy with the class we are putting together so far, think this class is going to develop nicely over the next couple years.

Re: Recruiting, 2015
I agree. Mostly 2-star ratings. Looking at stink page with lots of 3's. Interesting stat on Mike and Mike this morning about Super Bowl starters- no 5 stars and plenty of 2's. I am curious about Anthony Flory- is he a zero star? Looks like his teams were very successful in Florida but was he even rated?Yosef10 wrote:Star ratings are a little disappointed but I'm happy with the class we are putting together so far, think this class is going to develop nicely over the next couple years.

Bio says he was a basketball standout (ala Brian Quick). Any talk of him pulling a Julius Peppers?firemoose wrote:bigdaddyg wrote:Wasn't Taylor listed as 6'8" a few days ago? Keep growing kid! Can he play hoops? What a potential monster!

What drop off? Our average rating per player is higher than last year!!!boonetown1 wrote:IMO, our drop off in recruiting this year is from the departure of Stepp. His coaching abilities were pretty good but his ability to build relationships and land these kids was great. That's just a ceremony. Usually players send in their NLI beforehand. Shaedon did that last year.Yosef10 wrote:ceremony at 4pm for Mockmtnjax wrote:I'll relax a little bit once we get Mock Adams NLI in

Still no word on the surprise, eh? Off to a meeting, but I'm counting on Moose to be one-step ahead, as usual!firemoose wrote:bigdaddyg wrote:Wasn't Taylor listed as 6'8" a few days ago? Keep growing kid! Can he play hoops? What a potential monster!

I would get so caught up in star rankings, one of the best players in the country last year, a linebacker at Arizona was a two star, no serious offers, Arizona took a chance, going into his junior year he is going to be a first team all American, and a real shot at player of the year. As far as Georgia Southern, I wouldn't be too concerned with them, they just had 3 or 4 players flip on them to go to P5 schools in the last 4 days, one of them was their number one prospect on the defensive line.

My memory is crap, but there was a kid that transferred to App from Liberty back in the late 80's or early 90's that was listed at 6'9" or 6'10". The name is escaping me right now.ASUPATCH wrote:Without doing some research he is the tallest Mountaineer to don the black and gold."BIG" pickup.

Kevin Farkas was that tall and heavier, I remember him well, I saw his meal at Trivett hall which consisted of about 4 plates of speghetti.
link of him here.

Kevin Farkas was 6-9, 350 and didn't play much at all for App. The Panthers signed him because the size potential, but I'm not sure he was ever active.
