2. Will Appalachian State Pick Up Where it Left Off?

Recapturing the momentum or energy from a previous season is no easy task for any team. The Mountaineers won their final six games last year, which included victories over UL Lafayette and Arkansas State. While it may not be easy to replicate the momentum from the end of 2014, Appalachian State is in a good position to challenge for the league title in 2015 with 20 returning starters. Scott Satterfield’s team is headlined by an explosive offense, and the defense held opponents to a respectable 27.3 points per game in 2014. Sophomore quarterback Taylor Lamb is one of the Sun Belt’s top rising stars to watch, and his development could be the difference in the conference title picture. Even if the Mountaineers don’t pickup exactly where they left off, this team is still capable of winning the Sun Belt title in 2015.

Predictions
ArkSt - 8-4 (7-1)
GaS0 - 8-4 (6-2)
ULL - 8-4 (6-2)
App - 8-4 (5-3)

I think if we can take it to the 4th quarter with Clemson, we will be the darlings of the national media this year. Especially if we can win out after that!

College football is like the Presidential elections... Way to early to tell. I would be surprised if we won the Sunbelt.... But shocked if we did not go to a bowl game!!!!! Don't get you panties in a wad.. sports writers know little to nothing about Appalachian or The Sunbelt.

In YEAR 2 of FBS, I will be tickled with 8-4 or 9-3. We have a very tough non-conference schedule and the best HOME schedule to date! Excited for the season, but my expectations are tempered.

Enthusiasm should be tempered a bit. a lot can happen. I would be thrilled with 8-4 and do truly believe we are a top 3 Sun Belt team. Could be 1 or 3.

I'm happy to see someone not putting us as a shoein for the SBC Championship. I enjoyed the hype for a time, but not anymore. Not since I saw some of our players as well as the official App State Football page posting on Twitter and Instagram with hashtags like "believe the hype." We can win all our games this year, but we will lose more than a few if we're complacent.
