Yet NO ONE on here has address the fact that (this Troll) has travel information on Tuesday (when I posted) that App State is taking a bus to ODU.
How is taking a BUS 6 hours is really helping your team have the best chance to win and how does that really make the players feel cramped up getting back at 6am Sunday morning. That's not Big time, that's not top 25, that's not even what top 3 SBC schools are doing.
I bet Dougie stays the night and drives back Sunday morning, or flies over and back with Tommy Boy.
....... Want to pay a new coach 1.5 million BUT we can't afford to buy a 50k charter flight for the team.

Maybe the 6 hour bus ride will build team chemistry
It ain't about the bus ride... its about the play on the field and the preparation before.

Don’t think any assumed we would fly. Takes an hour to get to the closest airport. Same thing as driving to Myrtle or Atlanta/Southern.
$1.5!? Last week it was $1.3M. Don’t fret, phones have been ringing

Feeling 1-0 this week, defense gets back on track. We run all over them.
Everybody knows how to stop our stretch now, would love to see some counters off it and see what happens

Honestly a 6 hour bus ride might be quicker. I’ll be generous and say 2.5 hours to bus and plane but it’s probably more like 3-3.5 hours.
Norfolk is a little over and hour and then deplane and load back onto a bus is another hour and then on to final destination and you’re at least 5.5 hours and maybe more.
So really is it worth prob close to $60k to save an hour round trip maybe less?
If you think the answer is yes please donate more to the save Shawn Clark nil fund

I hope and pray that Shawn has someone around him as smart as me to put this on paper in front of Dougie and the Circle of Fakes:
The following teams and the number of 5th year or older players, I researched each roster web site,(you are free to google this as well) the following numbers DO NOT INCLUDE normal seniors:
#17 - DUKE - has 25 Graduate Transfers, yes 25!!! probably the reason they are ranked and whipped Clemson.
JMU - 13 Graduate or 5th year seniors
MARSHALL - 13 Graduate or 5th year seniors
GA State - 14 Graduate or 5th year seniors
now here is where this sh*t gets good.....
Coastal Carolina has 31 Graduate or 5th year seniors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ga STINK University --- 31 Graduate or OLDER.
They have 11 players in their 6th year of COLLEGE!! and 1 player in his 7th year!! (this reminded me of a YosefCabin board member AppState95&97

)
Now, how many does #TeamClark/AppState have __________ only 7........
So I would say and continue to repeat myself this is the rebuild!!!!! leave him alone he is building it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides NO boosters going to ULM to support - App State Football will be taking a BUS to ODU.....
6 hours over and 6 hours back. I can make a case this is turning into the movie Major League. And you guys think you're a Big Time program. #TeamClark against the world including his admin, most fans and Circle of Fakes.
Little ole Appy is all you'll ever be.
Admin and most fans are not against Clark.
Shawn said before the season that Gillin was giving him everything he needs for us to be successful.
His fate will be determined by our results the next 6 games. I think everyone is pulling for our team to win but if we go 3-3 or worse then I think 90% of fans will support a change.
What's Clark suppose to say publicly??? "Doug stinks"?
I didn’t say whether public or behind closed doors but he did both. He told 2 people I know who talk to him occasionally that Gillin fully supported and they were working on even making adjustments to admissions for transfers.

Isn’t the NCAA Tournament deciding line for whether a team flies or buses 600 miles? It’s a little over 350 and 5.5 hours (without breaks) from Boone to Norfolk. Seems like a reasonable distance to bus.

Not FBS football teams that want to be in a New Year's Eve Bowl. Maybe some sport that no on cares about like every sport other than football.
This will hurt recruiting.

It won’t. Have been taking buses for trips like this the entire time. Didn’t hurt in 2015-2018 when building that team that went on to be ranked. Losing would hurt more.

For sure, but it factors into the result: having Doug treat #TeamClark like the movie Major League and ride in a broken down bus, isn't "giving his all" as an AD -- he's sabotaging #TeamClark.

The Tar Heels would take a bus to Norfolk.

"When the Tar Heels left Raleigh-Durham International about 1 p.m. on Friday, sitting on the tarmac alongside their jet was one to take N.C. State to Virginia another to take Duke to Atlanta. "
Y'all should really read those articles before assuming what teams do for travel. Its 3 hours 30 minutes from NC state to uva.

I don't know anyone who thought we would fly to Norfolk. One of the main things sold as a positive for the Sun Belt expansion was that the regionality would allow bus travel for division games and thus reduce travel costs significantly. There are many things one can legitimately complain about, but this isn't one of them.

Thanks for posting these and I found them interesting. Just goes to show the big money difference when talking about the P5 teams vs everyone else. I surely thought ACC teams in NC would take a bus up to UVA/VT or even to GT in Atlanta. As they say "can't hide money."

Fly to Norfolk, Bus to JMU and Marshall... You can complain about it, BUT you won't because I (DOTE) started this travel topic.
