Exactly. I've been saying that about Wake, Duke, Davidson, et al. Sure we have an outstanding business school (but so do many others) , but we have no true professional school. Once again it is July. The strong interest from BCS programs could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on whether you keep the kid or not. Our recruiting so far this year isn't highly ranked but last year’s class had guys with offers from BCS programs.
As far as what App is ahead of us at, I give you tradition and fan support (football only). 49er club donations were higher than $3 million per year before football. Other than on the field performance and stadium size there is nothing else we have to "catch up" with.

You know, I have no problem with a visit to Boone in 2018. Its been about 10 years since I was in Kidd Brewer - might have to make a nice weekend of it. Please provide evidence, such as the article linked above, and I will believe this. Every series with an FCS power we have scheduled has started with a road game. The tables turned because regardless of who plays better football, which the sun belt was MUCH better last year, C-USA is a recruiting advantage over the Sun Belt. Feel free to disagree, but I don't think that's arrogant, I think that is perception, and to recruits, perception is reality. If we had beaten you as a startup, it would do serious damage to your recruiting. It made no sense for us to agree to a series with a startup, and I know for a fact that the reach out was to play in Charlotte first. That is arrogant. If we had stayed FCS then it would have made no sense for you to play us and I wouldn't have expected it. Given that both schools are headed for FBS, and we will be there a year sooner, it makes sense to play if the terms are reasonable. I don't know when this turning of the tables you speak of ever happened. But that is representative of the arrogance; believing you have already passed us by when you haven't done anything.
