Remember how the current administration got a private plane for the football team to fly back from ECU due to the short week before South Alabama to fly like 200 miles?

I also remember how poor of a fundraising job the last staff did by moving money from nutrition to NIL. Instead of advocating for both. That is the type of bullshit this program has had to deal with for the last 5 seasons. Player run, player led?? One of the biggest lies told by Clark.

Especially once we were down about 40 points on national television.

I’ve never seen such a mass exodus in my life at a home football game. That was one of the lowest points of the program.

Very true, the fans really showed their ass.

Just to be fair, if the same had happened at other schools, what percentage of those would have experienced the same reaction? Let's just reflect on the point in time of this situation, this was AFTER we got totally embarrassed at Clemson two weeks prior. The USA game was against a conference peer and it looked like we were totally out of our league like the Clemson game. How does a fan express dissatisfaction? I was completely disgusted in the product on the field at that moment. If I recall there were a lot of ex-players pissed off on social after that game as well.

The team was losing 40 points to a historically inferior conference opponent on a weeknight game. Who showed their ass?

Our team was totally unprepared for that game, IMO.

Sorry, thought I made that clear. It was the fans who walked out on the team.

Yes. It looked an awful lot like the team walked out on the fans before that game ever started.

Meh. Our coach makes over $1Mm and most of the players transfer out or are fired. It cost me ~$200 pp to go and I have to drive 2 hours back home or shell out another 3-400.

If we’re losing by 6 touchdowns I’m going home.

So the fans caused the team to be down 42-7 after the third quarter? That was probably your family friend Shawn Clark.

For those who claim they’re not giving any money or buying season tickets anymore due to NIL and Portal - how have your fall Saturday’s in Boone changed one iota due to those two factors? The answer is none. If you truly have stopped giving etc., that’s simply a you problem, not any system. You don’t look any smarter or of any higher morality for coming to a message board and acting holier than thou because the labor finally began collecting a tiny bit on the revenue they generate.

I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to directly contribute to NIL funds, the admin takes a far too altruistic approach to that endeavor. I know I’m not going to give away my money just so the university doesn’t have to directly pay their labor, while receiving next to no incentive for doing so. But cutting off Yosef and season tickets just because you’re upset kids are collecting relatively small amounts of money for what they drive to the university says more about you than anything else.

Most of the G5 fanbases don't show period all for weeknight games. The fact that App State can get 30K+ to Boone on a Thursday night is incredible.

If the team performs like that, I don't blame anyone for leaving early, especially those who for a close game wouldn't get home until after midnight.

How many times have you been watching a game/any game on TV and it is a blowout, you choose to flip the channel or turn it off and go do something else? I have and will continue to treat my time as valuable. I am not going to waste my time because it is limited and precious. If someone tries to tell me that I am an ass because I don't want to waste my time watching a debacle of a game where I think coaches and players are laying an egg because they were not prepared, I think they were capable of playing much better, then you don't want to hear what I really think so I will try to be civil and leave it at that.

You said the fans showed their ass and walked out on the team. Insinuating the fans were the reason for one of the worst losses in program history. I clarified for you that it was not the fans but your family friend. You are welcome. Nice try bud.

As rough as that was, I can think of another day at KBS that was worse: Sept 24, 2022

Somebody try and change my mind.
