Julian Rauch got lucky with his kick at Michigan............It was as low as Rubino's Saturday. I watch a lot of kickers and mechanics. Rubino picks his head up slightly and this will always result in a low kick. Wake saw this earlier. I will tell you I am not all over him I am over the coaches for not paying the hell attention to little fundamentals of special teams.

If that were the case he would be out there. You watch one guy for 5 minutes and decide he should be the first team kicker. I'll trust the guy who watches and coaches the kickers on a daily basis to decide who is our best bet to make the needed kicks. My guess is that if this becomes the norm rather than an aberration, a change would be made. Our current starter at that position has had a great 10 game run, I see no need to change based on one 2-4 FG game. And yes, over the course of a season you need your kicker to be better than that. Over the course of his 17 game career he is well above that.
Perhaps you missed the "side note" part of my post and the replay basically saying he had seen and wondered the same thing. I have reviewed both posts and cannot find anywhere that person or i intimated that we knew more than the coaches, watched more than the coaches or called for a change. It was simply an observation that i mentioned to someone at the GA game and thought i would point out my observation on this board.

Congrats, you have just set the WORLD RECORD DISTANCE for Jump to conclusions!

I'm surprised we're so upset considering that it seemed like most of our fan base expected us to get blown out.

I was watching him (#91) at the half of the Wake game and was wondering why he wasnt out there. His leg and accuracy seems much better.

At the least you seemed to be questioning the use of Rubino. But, if as you suggest it was merely an observation then I plead guilty to jumping to conclusions but at least I got a world record out of it. 8-)

Embarrassing? Please spare me. Remember losses to Citadel and VMI? There is no comparison. This is great football, great competition, lots of fun to see our program grow.
