Nate was not listed on depth chart. Not sure about Deshaun Davis or Milan Tucker but remember seeing that Tucker was playing in the bowl game.
We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
Just double checked, Nate and Deshaun are not on the depth chart. Milan Tucker is on it. Seth Williams also listed as backup Center. I don’t think there are any other transfers that were on the two deep.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
Miami QB Smith not on their depth chart, so 3rd string QB will have the start. One of their WRs also in the portal and not on depth chart. This might be a situation where our defense has a chance to outscored their offense.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
Think they're offense struggle previously, so should be interesting how our D does. Seems like just a matter of if our offense can score against their good D.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2023 8:11 amMiami QB Smith not on their depth chart, so 3rd string QB will have the start. Depends on if an offensive lineman calls the plays or not.

We have played on ABC numerous times. However , not a “ national broadcast”.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
I remember one at Western, think it was 1978 (maybe77). regional telecast. They were good and supposed to beat us. We stomped their ass.
Weather not looking good for Saturday down here. Current forecast is about 100% chance rain,15 mph wind gusting to 20
from 9-10am through midnight. About two inches worth spread out over the period. Shouldn't bee heavy most of the time. Temps right at 70.

Just realized this game will be played on natural grass. Hoping the forecast is wrong, but if it holds the playing conditions are gonna deteriorate quickly.
Need a quick start.

What's a quick start? I'm not familiar with this concept.appstate24 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 6:08 amJust realized this game will be played on natural grass. Hoping the forecast is wrong, but if it holds the playing conditions are gonna deteriorate quickly.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
1976 @ ECU was national ABC. I was not scheduled to travel but since it was our first big TV game I wasn't going to miss it. I and a couple managers drove all day for the game, then back home afterwards. The Furman game in Conrad 1980 was a disaster and I was there too with my future bride. It was cold to begin with and by half-time the field was white and the whole second half the turf was slicker than owl snot. The Brown to Beasley connection was definitely negated and we lost. Coach Brakefield's successor was the coach; I don't like to type or say his name.
We don't slide at Appalachian State. It's a sign of weakness.

39-13 in Cullowhee. We spoiled a conference championship and Tangerine Bowl invitation.Apptiger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:34 pmI remember one at Western, think it was 1978 (maybe77). regional telecast. They were good and supposed to beat us. We stomped their ass.

I want to say it was a week night game. Perhaps Thanksgiving. Memories not quite clear.scatman77 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 8:02 am1976 @ ECU was national ABC. And I think Robbie Price went out with a knee injury…we were toast at that point.

Re: Cure bowl vs Miami (OH)
Correct again. He had a recurring MCL sprain which we heavily taped. This was way before good hinged knee braces. He got it hit in the 2nd quarter and was out the rest of the game. Up until that point it was our game to lose.
