75,000 seat stadium. Why would we not have as many tickets as needed ?? If we could sell 30,000 for App why would anyone not want that? In June I called App to get 14 tickets but was told that “we “ were sold out. Call Ticketmaster. Just what I want to do, pay more for the ticket by, take a day off, work through the “cluster” of buying the ticket on line. Get home at 1:00-2:00. So we’ll have a viewing party at home and eliminate all that.
Finally , I’m 73. Worked in business and the corporate world all my life.” It has been my experience that when someone says “ there is nothing I/we can do.” That is simply code for “I don’t want to do it.

If the tickets are controlled for distribution by the Charlotte Sports Foundation, App does not control CSF. It is no different than buying tickets for an away game. If App's allotment is sold out...you basically have two options..go to the home teams ticket office or Ticketmaster. This is no different. No one in the App. St. ticket office can buy someone's tickets, resolve issues with CSF, etc. as App does not control this entity. It has nothing to do with "not wanting to help or not wanting to do something".

I’m sure you are correct, as I don’t know the inner workings of this business. Sounds like the deal we signed was not so good. Too bad, I think we could have sold more tickets with a bigger allotment to begin with.

In all fairness, whether you bought the ticket through App or through Ticketmaster, wouldn't you still have to take a day off and get home at 1:00 to 2:00 a.m.? Not sure how those are factors in deciding to do a viewing party. The cost issue I understand, but just say that's what it is if so.pop5app wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 6:07 am75,000 seat stadium. Was it a young woman? I'm curious if I spoke to her last week. She was quite short and borderline rude as well. Almost like my questions relative to the UNCC game tickets and my parking passes were out of line and I was inconveniencing her.

If I remember correctly, the way that the contract was written, app and uncc got a set # of tickets to sell, and then the rest were Sold by Charlotte sports foundation and split between the 3.pop5app wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 6:07 am75,000 seat stadium. So if we had sold our allotment by June which I’m pretty sure we did, App literally could not sell you tickets and you would have to go through Ticketmaster.
Unfortunately it seems the person was giving you the right information but either didn’t know or wasn’t explaining the why correctly

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
Is it worth playing ECU and UNCC at BofA?
It comes down to the advertising the participants receive and getting close to the primary alumni base. It's good for the casual to semi-interested App fan, but honestly a sub-par product to the die-hards that enjoy the atmospheres of Kidd Brewer and visiting "hostile" grounds at away games.
I don't mind seven home games though!

I think they pander to this "huge alumni base" in Charlotte who don't contribute or engage in App athletics. Hope it works out for them. I agree though, it's better in Boone.

In most cases, always better at a teams stadium. We know Boone is great... however, I had a great time in Gville for the EasyU game. Tailgating, on a college campus, is always better.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 9:12 amIs it worth playing ECU and UNCC at BofA?

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
I had to re-download the CSF app (there was a bug in the installed app on my phone from the ECU game) which wasn't that big of a deal and my tickets were sitting there which have now been downloaded to my Google Wallet...took like maybe 5 to 10 minutes. Also pleased with my seats at mid-field.
As far as our allotment at B of A Stadium, I'm guessing it was larger and consequently more money for us than if we were at the UNCC stadium. Don't know any of that for sure. I remember UNCC brought in additional temporary stands for our first game down there.
I would also think that the players will love the opportunity to play in an NFL stadium.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
I think ECU if played on a Saturday would do well at BOA. UNCC is kind of pointless, but their stadium is too small to host our fans. Hopefully their grand expansion is complete before we visit Concord.Saint3333 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 9:12 amIs it worth playing ECU and UNCC at BofA?

Yes, sounds like the same person. I got the same vibe from her right from the get go. No excuse for that.

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday
I would encourage you all to contact whomever leads the ticket office or someone in the Athletic Department. As they probably do not listen in on the phone calls, I would be proactive and call someone in a leadership position and relay your experience. The people that need to know will not know unless they get feedback.AppinATL wrote: ↑Wed Aug 13, 2025 1:28 pmYes, sounds like the same person. I got the same vibe from her right from the get go.
