My wife always accuses me of planning our vacations around the App football schedule. For example:

Honey, lets go to the Outer Banks (o yeah there's an App game at ECU that weekend)

Baby, lets go to New Orleans! (by the way, the App's play at LSU that weekend)

Sweetie, let me show you around Detroit, where I travel for work a lot (did I mention the Apps are playing at the Big House)

Love, let's go to Wild Dunes in Charleston (bet you want to see the Citadel and the Battery)

Babe, let's do a long weekend at Hilton Head (did I mention the Apps play the Stink?)

These trips actually happened, some more than once. Someone's going to have to figure out a way for me to sell going to ArkSt, Monroe, and ODU. I already have Clemson and SoAla covered. ULL and Idaho will have to wait for a couple of years.

It's never hard to get her to Boone 2 or 3 times a year.

He said he was looking for a reason to go to Monroe.

Fewer people on my trout waters AND I get into the games for "free." I dig this schedule.

If you sold her on Detroit, we're the ones who need to be asking you for guidance. ;)

I already suggested to my wife that we consider moving our annual beach trip from the OBX to Virginia Beach this year.

Depending on what part of the OBX you visit I'd just continue with those plans. Much better place than Virginia Beach and Norfolk's not a bad drive from the north end of OBX.

Hmm, have not been to Va. Beach before, but it looks like that's a 30 minute drive to Norfolk vs. 1.5 hours from the closest point on the OBX.

What's the deal with Va. Beach? My wife hates Myrtle, so if it's similar to that I could have a problem in my plan.

Va Beach is OK if you don't mind a dose of hepatitis.

The strip at Va. Beach is like Myrtle, but just to the south, Sandbridge is not too bad, and is about 10 miles south of the busy part. It's not Sunset, but it is populated by houses, rather than high rises.

For goodness sakes, we have over 6 months to put in for Annual Leave or find baby sitters or put the dog in the kennel or whatever it takes to get back up on the mountain on a Thursday night and show people what App is made of.
If you want to trade the best schedule ever to go back to playing the furples or terriorists on a Saturday matinee , be my guest but as for me and my clan, we will find a way to engage ourselves with some App football!
It was not that long ago that we had a few over 10,000 for EVERY game and had an AD who wore no socks and had an offensive coordinator who did not do the BEST for us.
As the great Marvin Gaye once said , "Let's Get it On" . Let's roll App !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Preach it brother!
