I realize we are playing the #12 team in the country. However, what we have witnessed today from App is an at best average Sun Belt team.

Is it just me or does Taylor look scared to get hit?

When there is no threat of Taylor running the ball, Clemson is going to send everyone after Cox at the goal line. WHY RUN THE BALL???

I didn't expect to win this game, even though I picked App to win, can't pick against them (picked from the heart). However, I didn't expect to get man handled this bad. We are a young team and it showed today.

Disagree, what you are seeing is a group of 3, 4 and 5 star guys playing a griup of 2 star guys. We will be fine in the SBC. I want to be sure we beat our G5 OOC competition. I really wish we would try to schedule top tier G5 games instead of "money" games.

When was this game scheduled? Were we still FCS? I really don't know the answer, but I'm glad we're playing against the best. I guarantee these guys will learn from this game and will use it as motivation later in the season.

Besides, what happens when we put a kick ass team out on the field but play a weak schedule and it costs us a New Year's Day bowl? Will you complain about the weak schedule then?
Give 'em hell!

my observations, defense played great, we held our own, especially with our defensive line, Clemson had to work for their points, hated that the offense was so bad that the defense got worn down. Special teams was much, much better than last year. Lamb had a horrible game, but the receivers really let him down, they couldn't get any separation, hell, they had a hard time just getting off the line, this is a problem we have when we play the elite programs, they have lock down corners who can cover our guys one on one, which frees up the linebackers and free safeties to rush the qb. I counted 7, sometimes 8 Clemson defenders, over and over again within 3 yds of the line right before we hiked the ball. Good news is we have 2 weeks to prepare for ODU, and we will not see a defense like that for the rest of the season.

This was truly a measuring stick game. Our defense was really impressive against one of the most explosive teams in college football, and our offence made some costly mistakes. The offensive mistakes are what made this one so hard to watch. Lambs 3 ints really hurt us in the first half. I think this loss will light a spark in our team, and we'll come out and play some damn good football for the rest of the season.

Get used to it. We have no true dual threat QB currently on the roster. Our runs are predictable. Lamb is no threat to run, and although we played a great team, Clemson showed how to defend our offense well. Time to rest and rebound in 2 weeks.

say it again, could not have happier with the defensive effort, the defensive line more than held their own, and Gilcrest is a beast, he was all over the field.

Defense definitely gets an A for their effort today.

I believe Satt kept Taylor in to try to raise his confidence level after his 3 picks in 6 plays disaster in the first half.

We have the defense to win the Sun Belt, no question in my mind. I don't blame Satt for trying to establish a ground game, but I do think that we tried it too much. Also, penalties were a killer.

Silver lining is that the coaches know what to work on during the next two weeks.
