I remember a moment in the SB championship game where a camera was tight on ZT as he received a play call. After getting the play call from the sidelines, he proceeded to roll his eyes in disgust. I watched closely to see what the next play was going to be. Sure enough, an inside run up the middle. I certainly can see from that moment where ZT may be happy with the change.appstatealum wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 10:08 pmHate that Corey Sutton won't be out there. The chains were tightest on him. It was third down, and Zac did more than roll his eyes he rolled his whole head lol! When I saw it I knew I run play was coming but I don't think I've ever seen a player do that.Appstrong wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:31 amI remember a moment in the SB championship game where a camera was tight on ZT as he received a play call. Do you know at what point in the 2nd half this happened? I was watching last night and I didn't see it. I want to go back and look again, I have the game on my DVR,NavyApp wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 6:50 amIt was third down, and Zac did more than roll his eyes he rolled his whole head lol! I wish I could, but I know it was a third down around midfield we were moving from left to right on the TV. The camera was on Zac as he got the play and then it happened. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.BUTCH1991 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 8:12 amDo you know at what point in the 2nd half this happened? I was watching last night and I didn't see it. She has a vinyl machine that she uses to make the T-shirts but only does fairly basic stuff. I can ask her about making a sign too.NeerShark wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 1:31 amDoes your wife have photoshop skills? I'd love a 'sAndpaper that ass' with block A. Asked the wife about making a shirt like this. She can't do the smoke but I think she is going to try to do the rest.![]()
Unfortunately I'm not skilled enough to create it myself.

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC
I would expect to see us adjust back to more of a zone blocking scheme like we had last year. It fits the size of our linemen better and will highlight the abilities of Evans and CamRun more.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 2:11 amI can confirm Drinks offense was a primary reason for Evans thinking about going to NFL early. He was not a fan of the inside zone being the primary run scheme. He has no problem running between the tackles, but prefers that to be the alternate rather than primary - a la Christian McCaffrey.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 6:45 pmI can confirm he has put in paperwork with the advisory board. Keep in mind that with so many guys coming out that he could easily fall to 5th or 6th even if 4th was the value the whole committee comes up with.appstatealum wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 8:42 pmApparently the whole Darrynton thing is just Darrynton being Darrynton. Evans is going to be a good pro. He can run, catch, return kicks, and he has very good speed. He could help himself by coming back. I bet he would go in 2-3 if he comes back and stays healthy.
I think Drink leaving and having Clark actually may help him stay. From what I heard last he is 50/50. He will get a NFL Combine invite if he comes out but obviously would get one next year if he stays.
If Clark's offense prefers the outside zone, I'd expect Evans to stay. But, flirting with the NFL already and seeing the dollar signs is hard to pass up.

Re: OFFICIAL: SHAWN CLARK HC
Here is the crazy thing about the position. Evans did not like it as much but he had the best year ever in it. I do think a lot of that was him developing his game but he still did very well in it. The fact Evans does not want to run inside much is another reason he needs to develop more. In the NFL he won't just run to the outside and beat everyone with speed. He will have to run north/south a lot more.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 2:11 amI can confirm Drinks offense was a primary reason for Evans thinking about going to NFL early. It was a 3rd down Zac had his back to us (TV) and he shook his head slowly twice. Drink called a running play it was 3rd and 8 and Darrynton ran for a first down. Zac's frustration im sure is we were taking our foot off the gas.........It was an obvious paSSing down.NavyApp wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 9:11 amI wish I could, but I know it was a third down around midfield we were moving from left to right on the TV. Hate that Corey Sutton won't be out there. The chains were tightest on him. The greatest news about Clark being named HC would be the almost guarantee that Corey returns to the Black and Gold for his final season of College Football.

Super interesting tidbit, to me, about Riley and Watt being tasked primarily with game planning the offense. I'd wonder if Riley isn't auditioning for an OC job because you know Drinkwitz is going to offer him the same position of position coach at Mizzou.
