If I were in charge of the defense (thankfully I'm not), I'd stack the box to stop the run and put pressure on Fancher. If Marshall wins by throwing desperate deep balls, so be it, but don't let them win by running or giving the QB any time. It seems like the secondary can't stop the pass anyway, so why really bother? Just sell out to stop the run and hit the QB.
Marshall's defense is good, but App's offense is better. I don't think they'll have too much trouble scoring, especially if they continue that intermediate passing game they started using in the second half against USM.
Sounds like a solid plan, however Fancher (QB) is mobile and we aren't always the best at containing a mobile QB.

AND, we have a great ability to make average QB’s look like Heisman trophy winners!

True, but you still have to go with a game plan. Taking away their #1 option is a good way to go.

Plus, if you are keying up to stop the run, that includes stopping the QB from running.

On designed QB runs I agree. It's the busted pass play where he tucks it and runs that is more concerning to me. Agree that you have to take something away. Just saying we have to be diligent in completing assignments.

Keep the crowd in the game, and we blow them out. Bring the house against them early and often.

We should never lose a night game at The Rock. Crowd is 3x jacked.

Coastal Game start was embarrassing for a night game. I don’t mind the ODU loss nearly as much. (That was a coin flip in my mind going into it)

Marshall is riding a 4 game losing streak? Do we finish them off or kickstart their end of season run?

When you have a streak like that... You have nothing to lose.

Sometimes that definitely true. Other times, you're just broken. Regardless of the frustrations, App's trajectory is MUCH more positive than Marshall's. Let's just show up and play 4 quarters and it we will be fine. (Notice that "we"...like I'm going to be carrying the ball. haha).

I talked to Coach Clark. There is a special package of plays for you. Be ready in the middle 8...that is when you will be inserted into the game... it's got to be such a surprise...Marsha will not know what to do.🤣🤣

First ever night game IN NOVEMBER. I had to rewind cuz I heard what you thought at first too. No idea if that’s accurate, but it makes sense.

Concerning that they can get pressure just rushing 3 or 4. Hopefully that was just first drive stuff
