NCAA granted a waiver today for the 2025-2026 athletic year. I would now put the chances of Joey returning above 90%. This will help in recruiting Makai back as well.

Would love to see a true dual-threat QB to come in and push Joey. There were at least three or four first or second play of the drive interceptions on critical drives. Plus, the red zone turnovers.

DLo has coached a lot of NFL QBs so I think Joey has enough talent to be really good with the right coaching. If DLo thinks Joey has it then I would trust coach.

Both I believe. Several current players referenced Ponce in response to Joey’s struggles. Joey and DLo both believe he can reach a new level when used to his strengths.

KRob’s situation will be interesting. He had a significant knee injury but has performed enough to get notice from the NFL. Does he want to rehab in college to show he’s back or does he want to try to do it as an UDFA? I’m not sure which is the best option.

You can count me as one of the naysayers who believed Ponce’s scheme and vision attributed to Joey’s struggles last season.

So I’d have no issues with welcoming #4 back. But having said that, I don’t think a fat NIL deal should be attached to his invite.

Honestly, I agree. Great arm, but too many bad decisions for my liking. Way too many instances of just chucking the ball up for grabs when he’s in trouble. I feel like he regressed this past season. Maybe part of the regression is on the coaching, but the decision making is on him. I’d be ok with a fresh start at QB.
