Re: Board of trustees
Fellas, EVERYTHING about this search reminds me of what we went through last year....names swirling, posters absolutely sure who our new coach would be, some happy, some sad, some with panic attacks, tracking flights all over the Gulf South, "insiders" dropping hints, etc. Just change a few names and the website and this would be a carbon copy of that epic thread of ours. Heck, we even celebrated the one year anniversary of that day just a couple days ago.
Our AD, at the very beginning of the search, told everyone that if they didn't hear it from him personally, there was a high probability that the information was false. And like your AD has been with this search, there were ZERO leaks. Robert Mueller couldn't have made the man talk.
In the end, he named a young coach whose name had not come up a single time in hundreds of posts nor on dozens of websites tracking this stuff, at least not that I was aware of. How he kept it so tight, I'll never know, but he did until the very end.
You've got a great athletic program, a great culture, an astute AD, and an avid fanbase.
I say chill. Your AD will not likely disappoint and I'd bet he'll come up with a name no one has mentioned or even thought of. As you might guess, we're very happy with our new coach. I'm betting you guys will be as well.
Good luck in New Orleans. Kick the MUTS' butts so hard that their noses bleed!!!!

Why would the next coach need an airplane. He could just sprout wings and fly in.

All you sleuths missed the Naples flights! You know who lives in Naples, has plenty of DC and HC experience and us available?

I was curious, and my sources confirmed upon further investigation...Gattis ordered the Double Burger tray with double puppies and a strawberry milkshake. This gives us our first glance at his decision making skills. More of an oreo shake guy myself, but anybody that doubles up on hush puppies is a guaranteed winner in my book./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:17 pmMy sources called Wells Fargo pretending to be Gattis. It was tricky but they were able to obtain his recent purchases. A few things here and there but what really caught my attention was the purchase at Cookout in Hickory. Sure sign he's coming to App.

Spicy Chicken tray with nuggets and a chicken quesadilla. Substitute drink for a caramel fudge milkshake./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:31 pmI was curious, and my sources confirmed upon further investigation...Gattis ordered the Double Burger tray with double puppies and a strawberry milkshake. Re: Board of trustees
If Horton is out ... Sounds like he is then that leaves Woody, Gattis and the mystery guy. I am starting to think it is Gattis.
Unknown seems to think it is a guy who hasn't been mentioned. If that's the case then I dunno.

Re: Board of trustees
Reading through unknown's prior comments, I don't think "mystery guy" is credible information. Dude legit thought Urban Meyer should be a candidate.

Re: Board of trustees
Sloan’s name hasn’t been mentioned much or in a while. Gillin would be taking a major gamble if not named on here or remotely expected...he would have no feel for how the boosters will receive the person.
Re: Board of trustees
I know Southern D was much improved this year, but not sure how I would feel about hiring a coordinator from a conference rival, even if they had coached here previously.Appalachman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:53 pmSloan’s name hasn’t been mentioned much or in a while. LMAO!! You've got the wrong person. I laughed at whoever said that about Urban.
