Re: Stadium experience Director
Looks like they've addressed some concerns. Good to see!
App Nation,
Thank you for cheering on our Mountaineers in the football season opener against Gardner-Webb last Saturday. Opening the season with the second-largest crowd ever at The Rock was very exciting.
We look forward to seeing many of you this weekend in Chapel Hill and then at home again for a sold-out game against East Carolina on Sept. 16. For all home games, please remember to ARRIVE EARLY, stay late, be loud and be respectful. Also, if you have an assigned parking space in a Yosef Club lot, make sure you park in the correctly numbered spot.
We have received feedback about game day operations from the opener, and we are making improvements for the ECU game in several areas.
More ticket scanners at the most congested entrances
Increased security and operations staffing
Fans may bring in one unopened bottled water to each remaining 2023 home game
Water fountains on both concourses will be operational. We apologize that the East concourse water fountains were not functioning properly last Saturday.
As was the case last week, water will continue to be made available for purchase at every concessions stand and food truck in the stadium. We are also adding Gatorade to the East side Grab & Go station.
If you have any issues on game days, you can text the word APPSTATETIP along with your location and issue to 67283 on your mobile device. You can also sign up on game days for temporary emergency alerts by texting "appstatealert" to 67283.
Our postgame survey revealed a positive response to the increased security feature of walkthrough metal detectors at all entrances. To allow for the fastest entry lines, please ARRIVE EARLY to the stadium, make sure all items are in an approved clear bag, and have your mobile tickets ready to be scanned.
Postgame traffic flow will be continuously assessed by emergency management and law enforcement personnel based on campus parking, construction and other real-time traffic patterns.
We expect the ECU game to be another record-breaking home crowd, so everyone is asked to ARRIVE EARLY and enjoy free Mars ice cream bars, the Mountaineer Walk and the Commodore Fox pregame concert in the Jerry Moore Plaza before cheering on the Mountaineers.
Go App!
