I enjoyed getting home before 11:30 pm. I'm going to be there regardless but I don't mind the noon kickoff. I also realise to each his own and I understand late afternoon is preferable for some.

Not thrilled with Noon...but I will be there for all 6 games regardless of game time because there is frankly no place on earth I would rather be.

That sucks. Side note and I will post on ticket exchange too. Anyone want to buy two section 111 tickets and a River Street Parking pass?

Why does everything pertaining to an App Athletic Departmemt decision have to suck for some of these posters. Some of you guys just tear me up. So you don't get to tailgate for 4 hrs. Grab a Bojangils Biscuit on the way up the mountain and get to the game. Might save you a few bucks over buying enough food and beer for a block party and having half of the food to go to waste.

Well it certainly sucks for me coming up from Atlanta. I guess if I was lucky enough to live up there or within a couple of hours, I probably would be quite fine with it. I don't mind one 12 o'clock game a year. I enjoyed this weekend having time after the game to do stuff and all that but we made s whole long weekend out of it and stayed in a hotel. I definitely cant do that more than once a year. Rooms up there are way too expensive.

This really sucks.

I'd be at any game even if they started at 6AM. Six days out of 365!!!! If you don't want to come we don't need to hear about it. Just stay home. Go Apps!!

This is the only game I cant attend but it's not because of the time. I completely understand early game starts can be a pain but we really enjoyed the parkway after the Miami game.

I couldn't imagine tailgating after that whooping we received. I felt deflated and the only thing I wanted to do was go back home.

It started this year with the Sun Belt. My understanding is that ASN is not paying schools to air this content or very little. Maybe this is some sort of revenue sharing of ad revenue after production expenses are paid for from ad sells.

If ASN is dictating this time and we are not getting paid for what will be a smaller crowd very likely then we need to reexamine the contract the SB has bargained. The exposure is nice, and ASN is national, but we need to balance the books and that is ticket sales, and student fees, if not TV rights money.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

ASN is national but their programming is regional. This weekend's game vs. Akron is not on in our region, well not in Eastern NC anyway. They will broadcast the UMASS/MissSt. game here. Thank goodness for ESPN3.

It will be interesting to see how many fans we have in attendance that day. In 2005 our attendance jumped immediately after some changes were made, and one of the most helpful was moving kickoffs to 3:30. Unfortunately TV has the power these days, and schools get a lot of pressure from conferences and networks to be at the mercy of television. Its a catch 22 for the schools trying to balance satisfying the fans in the stands vs promoting the program to as many viewers as possible. Having games easily available for players families and friends who can't make it to Boone also comes into play in recruiting.

Also note that our ticket sales for the GSU game aren't great so maybe the Noon kick wont keep many away. I believe the fact that every game is on ESPN3 at the least has already made it easy for the more casual fans to justify staying home.

Definitely game time was dictated by ASN; if it were only on ESPN3 I don't think they dictate kick off time

I will probably have 2 tickets available for this game...will probably know later today and will post on here. The wife and 2 friends are going to Jason Aldean concert in Raleigh Friday the 30th and were gonna head up Saturday for the game, but since it is noon they are flaking out...weak sauce

Most people, that come from several hours away, hate noon kick-offs. Unless you are talking about the decision to join the SunBelt this has nothing to do with the App Athletic Department.

I think he's complaining about complainers. Which is a valid complaint.
