I think I felt I didn't want us to back into a title at the time, but I freely admit I was wrong.

I take my crow double breaded and deep fried, thank you.

No worries AppinVA, I suspect most posters on this board (myself included) have feasted upon crow many times.

It's not that bad, especially with a side of Championship Ring.

I wouldn't say we backed into a title just because we lost a game at some point this year. We had to win our last two to clinch, which we did by a combined 55 points.

Compare that with the Mountain West, where the two championship game participants lost by 21 and 32 this weekend. One of them (San Diego State) lost their last two. That's backing into a title.

And I believe one team heads to the conference championship game after giving up over 550 yards rushing in their last game

Good Grief --- I just watched the replay - no wonder you guys were going crazy, I had no idea it took 10 minutes to decide and the announcers were totally wrong - glad I could just watch the replay knowing the outcome --- :D

I thought at the outset asking our team to go undefeated in the SBC was a tall order. I also thought it would be essential to get our first conference title. I am glad one loss against a quality opponent did not eliminate us. This was tremendous season.

By chances, have our fiends from Gnatsville congratulated us on our winning the CHAMPIONSHIP?

It was only 10 minutes? It felt way longer! I had my laptop on my lap at our dining room table keeping up with the game at our extended family's Thanksgiving dinner, and I was pretty quiet about the game, until that play and then I caused a disruption...and then for some reason I couldn't get our game to stream and missed the entire first half but did catch our second half...it was an eventful afternoon at our house.
