Hosting three ACC teams. In-state games with ECU and UNC-Charlotte. Regional games with Marshall, ODU and USM. Is this a dream??

I've always had a special place in my heart for HATING the Cheaters of the Hill. Please make this happen and then please let us stomp them. The bragging rights over family members would make for a great holiday.

Re: UNCCH to Boone?
Circling back to the topic of which game is more important, Miami or ECU, I'd say this series wouldn't be possible with Miami having come to Boone. We also need to thank Wake as they were the first P5 to agree to a game in Boone. They unlocked the door for P5's to come to App, and then Miami opened it up completely. A win in this series would change our reputation in NC forever.

Re: UNCCH to Boone?
This game never takes place if they had finally gotten a potential top 25 team. No way, no how. I'll take them any way we can get them.
Now, after the over hype of the Miami game (and understandably so), I hope we will have gotten to the point of focusing on the opponent and come out with the intensity of the UT game this year. No way they would be ready for that type of physicality.
Awesome get! Go DOUG, go!!!

Wow...if DG gets this done it'll be amazing! I am SO developing a bro-mance with that guy. I wonder if having the 5-time national champion Miami Hurricanes come to Boone kind of brought credibility to playing us on the mountain.

I think even those who decried moving to FBS will smile with this news. I just pray we are not going through a coaching transition then.

Ha, Rek one of my best friends (App grad and comes to about 3 games a year bc of his work schedule otherwise he'd be at more) still despises the FBS move but he's less and less vocal about it these days. Baby steps, right?Rekdiver wrote:I think even those who decried moving to FBS will smile with this news. I just pray we are not going through a coaching transition then.
I hope this series starts ASAP. Someone above said we both have openings as early as 2018 or 19. Fantastic job by DG and staff. Oh, and GS still can't get a p5 to play at Paulson. HAHAHAHA.

Re: UNCCH to Boone?
I'm pretty sure they capped attendance for the Miami game, or at least the stated figure was the predetermined limit on capacity. So unless we get more seats, the Miami record will hold.

Hope we get a chance to beat them before they get NCAA death penalty.CheckYosef94 wrote:I've always had a special place in my heart for HATING the Cheaters of the Hill. Please make this happen and then please let us stomp them. The bragging rights over family members would make for a great holiday.

My point was more of foreshadowing to expansion.S.Lewis15 wrote:I'm pretty sure they capped attendance for the Miami game, or at least the stated figure was the predetermined limit on capacity. So unless we get more seats, the Miami record will hold.

Re: UNCCH to Boone?
Most UNC fans I knew while in school at App really only supported the UNC basketball program. Better be all black and gold with a small visitors section strip of God awful blue.appdaze wrote:What will all the UNC fans at APP do now? I'll be interested to see what the crowd will look like. Will UNC fans cover half the stadium or can we swamp them in black and gold?
