Chasing points early 3rd quarter?

My God. I don't even understand how you could be that dumb.

Too the boo birds and naysayers about Lamb. Just threw a perfect pass that resulted in a TD.

What is going on??? Seriously? How do you have this as a toss up game at half time when you're at home vs one of the worst teams in the entire country?

This is pathetic. Boo loudly.
A win's a win...then there's Georgia Southern getting curbstomped by UMass, so I'm not going to complain.

I'll never bitch (seriously, anyway) about how we win.

Some people on this board need to get a clue. App is a “terrible team”? They are 5-2; one win away from bowl eligibility. This would be their third bowl game in three years of bowl eligibility. That is almost unprecedented success.

Is our O-line weaker than last year? Yes. Is the ground game disappointing? Yes. Is App a terrible team? Scoreboard, y’all.

Go. Fight. Kick Ass.

Just being honest but we’re pretty average this year. I’m in the stands and will be here until the clock hits 0:00 either way.
We'll still be in a bowl game of some sort. Of course there are a lot of "average" teams in the bowls.

This could be a blessing in disguise. Teams may stop stacking the box to stop the run if we continue to throw the ball like we did today.

Which we could definitely benefit from given our now depleted running back corps.

Whatever happened to the "good ole days" when it was a game on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Boone? Not a matter of life or death! Settle down!

Don't know if this has been brought up in the other threads since I'm not reading them but given this title I looked at this one. Just as a point of reference, and I'm glad Pierre talked about it post game for those who won't listen to anyone on here, we are beat all to hell right now with injuries. I know a lot of teams are but this goes beyond the normal. We've yet to play a game with our preseason depth chart of 1's and 2's as listed. Even taking Meadors and Evans out of that we still haven't had one game where we weren't dealing with injuries to 1's and 2's on both sides of the ball. It's not just RB and WR. OL, TE, LB, DB, and DL have all lost or had 1's and 2's playing injured at various times so far. Even special teams, given that several of the O and D players that have been injured are also on our coverage teams. That's every every position on the field except QB and we know that Taylor has been dinged as well but just hasn't missed much time.

In most cases we have good 2's for the 1's (and in a lot of cases they can interchange) that miss game time but they can't play every snap and we're having to play Rs Fr and true Fr in multiple minutes as 2's that we weren't counting on at the start of the season. We're just seeing some of them, like Virgil today, getting up to full game speed and figuring it out. We're burning more red shirts than we wanted to just out of need. Even Satt said post game that this is about as banged up a team as we've ever had since he's been here.

No doubt we are struggling and against teams that we should easily put away, if we were even close to full strength. But until we get some key guys back we're probably not going to see what type of potential we have or see us put together 4 full quarters of complete football. That takes time and chemistry that we haven't been able to develop so far. Hopefully we can get enough veterans back, those that are coming back this year, to push us through the rest of the season. Just like everyone else I've had enough of the cardiac games.

As always Moose is spot on. I have not seen injuries ravage a team like this. The main issue I see that he hit on is chemistry.

Relax people. Despite the injuries and message board hand wringing, we are in first place. One game at a time.
