Re: Shout out to App Fans
I don't know if it was a better production value or we had 30k+ people there but that's the loudest I've ever heard App fans be on tv. Having a fanbase who travels well is good for the resume.
Re: Shout out to App Fans
Was there in Section 17 and it seemed loud to us. Glad it came through on TV as well.
Those guys were averaging 185 ypg on the ground coming in.....and we held them to 21.

Re: Shout out to App Fans
The production at KBS has always been shitty. It could be the stadium layout too. Maybe once we get the NEZ building done it will keep noise in for us. Very impressed with those that represented last night. I can't make it, but I hope those that can will flood Atlanta for another crowd advantage.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:09 pmI don't know if it was a better production value or we had 30k+ people there but that's the loudest I've ever heard App fans be on tv. Re: Shout out to App Fans
There were a handful of SC fans in sections 21-22 who were not happy with us. I didn’t hear anything rude or vulgar come from App State fans, we were just loud and doing some friendly smack talk. I think the SC fans expected us to just be happy to be there; we weren’t supposed to expect to win and cheer accordingly.

A lot has to do with how ESPN mics the crowd for SEC games, as compared to the rest.

Re: Shout out to App Fans
I was at the game and it appeared to me to be the largest App State road crowd I have ever seen and I have been to many, many games over the years. It was definitely the loudest. My buddy who goes to lots of games with me said he thought he was going to be deaf after the game. We were surrounded by crazies. What really touched me was how the players seemed to recognize how large and loud we were and came over to show their appreciation as soon as the game ended. Impressive.

We were in Section 18 and stood the whole game, except for halftime and those 3 minute time outs. We took over the stadium, the tailgate, and most importantly, the game.

Re: Shout out to App Fans
I would say we had 10 to 15,000 people there. The South Carolina fans were selling tickets in the lower sections cheaper because of their atrocious season. Hats off to the fans for being so loud. I was shocked at how many South Carolina fans left when the game was still in question.

Corner seats were far superior in sight range than TN or NC. Liked the way they shook the hankies before kickoffs. Let’s fill Georgia State’s stadium next week. Sign-up for the Alumni Tailgate, too.

Oh, I thought those hankies were flags of surrender.Blackshirt68 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:23 pmCorner seats were far superior in sight range than TN or NC. Liked the way they shook the hankies before kickoffs. Let’s fill Georgia State’s stadium next week. Sign-up for the Alumni Tailgate, too.

Re: Shout out to App Fans
It is the production. The crews for games produced for ESPN+ don't include guys holding those crowd noise microphones you see on the sidelines at big games. Sadly, because I dont make it to Boone for games as much as I'd like, I have had the opportunity to notice it times many./\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 12:20 pmThe production at KBS has always been shitty. For example, the conference championship game last year was a regular ESPN production crew and sounded so much louder on TV than other games last year despite the smaller crowd. Our nationally televised games almost always sound louder than the streaming only games.
Not a KBS game, but I also thought the Wednesday night App-UL game sounded much louder than other games at UL I've watched on ESPN+.
Watch an ESPN or ACCN game from Wake or Duke sometime and notice how loud the crowd sounds compared to one of our ESPN+ games at KBS. We all draw crowds within a similar range. No way WF or Duke crowds are really that much louder than App home crowds.
We need to invest in one or two of those microphones for our co-produced games and get a few Comm majors to stand with them near the student section during games.

Got goosebumps when the App/State chant rang out in that huge stadium. Awesome

More like 15-20k range. Like was mentioned above, this is the largest contingent of Black and Gold I’ve seen on a road game.yikas1 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 4:20 pmI would say we had 10 to 15,000 people there. Re: Shout out to App Fans
It was cool being on the Cock’s home side lower level on the 40 and looking across at he App sections packed to the gills and so loud. You made us all proud. The fans that travel are definitely amongst the most passionate. Not to say many fans who can’t make away games aren’t also as passionate. Way to go folks.

Replay is on ESPNU tomorrow morning at 6am. If you can't get up in time set your DVR.

Same here...Section 18 and very impressed with our traveling contingent yesterday. Even the older and "much" older folks around me down in the lower rows of 18 were standing for almost all plays.

My son and I were up in 305 but made our way down to the App section for the 4th quarter. Looked great from up top
