According to sports radio today, his buyout is $18 million AFTER December 1st. It’s $22 million if they fire him right now.VNova wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 5:47 pmSign me up to...Black Saturday wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 4:57 pmHis pink slip is worth about $18 million US dollars. I'd love to be hit by that pink slip.

I thought the opening Vegas line was fair based on the way APP was trending last couple of games offensively. 21 - 4 and 5 stars on their roster, playing in the SEC that beat UGa and took Florida down to the wire recently? I am an APP homer too, but certainly APP wasn't the favorite in Columbia. But, Vegas could no way for see that #89 Edwards, who is a man among the boys, a player that we have no one that can shut him down, would get dinged up enough to be out. Conjecture, but had he been in the whole game, the game may have turned out differently. Fortunately for APP, like Hart being dinged up and out for Michigan a while back.ericsaid wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 12:46 pmAlso stated incorrectly that UNC only had two wins. The funny thing about the difference between UNC fans and USC fans is that USC fans aren't mentioning a rematch or how the next game will be different. The pervasive myth that the Sun Belt of 2019 is the Sun Belt of 2009 is causing a lot of meltdowns in Columbia though. I wonder if App had been ranked still if they would be as down about the loss.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 11:21 amLol he said they were going to have to do some construction on the scoreboard for when they play Clemson change it to three digits
A rational Vegas would've favored App. But South Carolina is a SEC team and lot of public money flows to those higher profile schools. Public bettors, by and large, are dumb. USC being favored to begin the week was purely a function of economics rather than a prediction of the outcome of the game.
One major topic most of them are also missing is that App's defensive line took over at the end of the game when the field shrunk. 31 and 24 were living in the backfield those last few snaps. For the two holding penalties that the refs actually called, I saw another 2 or 3 missed on that last drive alone. The announcers wanted to mention how Edwards was wide open in the end zone for the win while failing to follow up saying that it wouldn't have mattered due to the penalty.
All of South Carolina's receivers were hurt? Okay, why did you only rush for 21 yards? Why did you have two holding penalties on the final drive when you finally began moving the ball? Not everything can be blamed on injuries for them.
I'll take these upset wins though.

I didn’t think it was that bad of a press conference, how was he supposed to act? Actually takes more guts to handle it the way he did than to pop off at a reporter because you don’t have the guts to admit you ran the score up on a shitty team because you were afraid the committee would punish you for not beating them bad enough.

While I’d gladly accept that pink slip, one does not ascend to the highest ranks of one’s profession without being ultra competitive. Mush amp would absolutely hate to get that pink slip, because it meant that he failed. It would be mere consolation until he landed somewhere else, working to get back to the top. Most of us on this board (myself included) do not have 1/10th of the drive it would take to get there, much less stay there. Most of these guys aren’t motivated solely by the money, although that is a small part of it. They’re driven by the success, which brings the money and the accolades.

It was market overreaction to the App - Georgia Southern game, simple and plain. If App gets one of their two final drives against Southern in the end zone and wins, they are favored in Columbia. Vegas made some money Saturday.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 7:01 pmI thought the opening Vegas line was fair based on the way APP was trending last couple of games offensively. 21 - 4 and 5 stars on their roster, playing in the SEC that beat UGa and took Florida down to the wire recently? Palaces have built there, you can nearly stay and eat free there and get cheap fare to Vegas. Vegas makes money everyday. It's fun to watch the lines, but gamblers are losers eventually.ericsaid wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2019 11:30 amIt was market overreaction to the App - Georgia Southern game, simple and plain. In any sport at any level, the "we've got a lot of players that can't go because of injuries" excuse is weak and lame and always has been. Play on!
