Garden grown jalapeño poppers, babaghanoish from the garden eggplant. Fresh poll beans and collards from this spring. Add some Bojangles chicken and we’re ready for the game!

Re: Gameday Menu thread!
Last week I did a big English breakfast due to my west coast timezone (I’ll never get used to 9am kickoffs).
However this week with a 12:30 boot I’m going with:
Saturday poolish white bread
Home made beef stew
(I use large chunks of slab bacon as my base meat but also include about 2.5lbs of stew beef)
Nice and hearty

Slow smoked boston butt(on hickory) with ENC BBQ sauce, some Burgers for everyone else. Some cold brews(Lagunitas Super Cluster and New Belgiums Higher Plane Voodoo Ranger). No need to waste time or space with veggies or sweets.

I watch the Pioneer Woman a good bit, and she made this last week...I've never had it, but poured it over toast and liked it a lot. Made a great side for grits with salsa on them.
Felt somewhere between elegant and churlish, but in the end, full.

Took it easy this week. Had smoked ribs last week. Grilled some hot dogs for lunch and letting the beer get extra cold before the game.

Don’t know about the rest of you but my leftovers tasted BAD after the game.
They were so good before game started then they got nauseating tasting as game progressed.

What’s on the menu for this weeks game? Thinking about just ordering a pizza with the noon kickoff, but also thinking of firing up the grill to smoke something (don’t know if I can get my hands on Camel meat
).

there will be ham biscuits and deviled eggs. Suddenly warmed up...I was planning on making some cool weather comfort food, maybe some stuffed cabbage rolls, or lasagna, but now the menu is up in the air.

I am going with this:
Camel meat is eaten in the Middle East and parts of Africa. It's no chicken, though. This is serious special-occasion food. The hump is the prized cut, offering the fattiest, most tender meat, according to the Syrian-Lebanese chef and author Anissa Helou

Sounds like a slow and low smoking style would work very well with Camel. Now, to just find some Camel hump meat, don't think Publix carries it.Tbatchelor1977 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 25, 2020 7:12 amI am going with this:
