Re: 2022 Season Tickets
I called the ticket office yesterday with the same question. They told me the same; my account, was charged on 3/31. It just has not hit my bank yet.

Re: 2022 Season Tickets
Well... kind of the second installment. Since the system obviously didn't work right, they turned the remainder into a 2 month draw (without any notification of it) instead of completing the 4 month draw as advertised.appsfan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 8:53 amFYI, I just noticed my 2nd installment hit my card on 3/31...ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:49 pmJust a question for anyone who has renewed on the monthly payment plan, has your second payment come out yet? Took the initial payment out at 25%
Missed the 2nd payment
Instead of notifying the season ticket holders, they just took half of the 75% remainder out for third (and likely) 4th pull.
Luckily, I am not in a financial situation where that hurt. But, others definitely are. It was a poor move by the department to not even notify season ticket holders that was happening. Not everyone has extra cash just sitting around. If they are wanting to grow season ticket membership, they need to treat them better.

Re: 2022 Season Tickets
Just heard from a friend who is a 3/4 decades long season ticket holder who has completely cut bait with the athletic department over all the financial changes this off-season. It doesn't appear that it was so much as the sheer #'s themselves, though she does operate on what I assume to be a fixed senior income. I took our conversation to mean that it was the lack of upfront communication, phased in timing, and lack of willingness from the athletic department to communicate with her regarding thoughts/opinions concerning various happenings on the mtn. Now, I realize not many can have 24/7 access to DG and staff but "blowing off" long-time supporters and donors is not a good look. This friend has given/spent over $85K on App State and the Mountaineers in less than the last decade, and that has been since her App State husband passed away and funds have become even tighter. At least, appear to care about their input and make considerations for case-by-case situations. One size does not fit all when you're begging for money. And let's be honest - our athletic department and MAF/YC are indeed begging for money, because that is simply, at the surface, what it is. I'm not sure losing folks like her will hurt in the long-run, as we're growing our brand each and every year and the tent is widening and those that can are more than off-setting the losses, as evidenced by the increased YC revenue each year. Still, it just doesn't quite "feel right" when you see an elderly lady that literally bleeds black-and-gold say enough is enough and ride off into the sunset.

I have a friend who is a 25+ year season ticket holder who is throwing in the towel after this year because of the changes and his difficulty in getting any kind of answers to his questions. Like your friend, he is not a mega-donor, but they appear to be happy to just let him walk away. Something just doesn't seem right about that.

Re: 2022 Season Tickets
Yep same. Not that it really matters to me personally but I’m pretty sure when I signed up it was supposed to be in 4 payments. Now it’s in 3. Could really screw some people up if they were budgeting it out as obviously it’s a higher amount in a month.appsfan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 8:53 amFYI, I just noticed my 2nd installment hit my card on 3/31...ArmantiWaterSafety wrote: ↑Wed Mar 16, 2022 3:49 pmJust a question for anyone who has renewed on the monthly payment plan, has your second payment come out yet? Either way, glad to see it finally taken out so I don’t have to worry about it.
Edit: might help if I read the other replies first. I hate reading on the phone. Good to see others were surprised by that lack of communication too.

Re: 2022 Season Tickets
I don't know. He didn't ask them to me. He was just generally irritated with the whole process when I talked to him. His main complaint was that nobody would bother to talk him about anything.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 12:36 pmJust curious but what questions is he looking for answers?appst89 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 11:18 amThat is disturbing.HkyMtneer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 05, 2022 10:13 amJust heard from a friend who is a 3/4 decades long season ticket holder who has completely cut bait with the athletic department over all the financial changes this off-season. Re: 2022 Season Tickets
It does appear that improvements may be needed from outside looking in. I committed to NEZ for 3 years I had never sat in EZ seats and was not sure I would like them. During the time of purchase, Ms. Stokes stated that I could change commitment to a longer period if I wanted. I thoroughly enjoy the NEZ. I called ticket office and Teresa answered. She was great by the way. She gave me number to call to modify contract. Began calling over a month ago. Left message. No call backs. It does get a little frustrating. With that said, I have no clue on personnel issues they are facing, etc. It seems many employers are continuing to face a worker shortage. I know my profession is. We turned away good fee work this year for first time in my career due to employee capacity issues. Hopefully, things get better.
