Hennigan and Alex Gray both talked about how few guys finish 4 or 5 years on the team. In a way they both saw it as a positive thing for the team. The guys who didn’t want to play for other 10 guys on the field left. Not saying anything negative about the young man who is transferring, he could have any number of reason for leaving. It’s hard to believe but some people just don’t like Boone, could be that simple.HurricaneYosef wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 10:52 amAfter this departure that leaves 11 guys from Satt's final recruiting class:

Losing Drinkwitz after 1 year was difficult, but honestly imagine where we would be if we had 2+ recruiting classes under Drink. Satts last class has NUMEROUS guys that bleed black and gold and are textbook Mountaineers

This is his fifth year here and still in a deep reserve spot. Good to luck to wherever he goes. We have been recruiting JUCO defensive backs HEAVY this season, so may be best move for both parties.

I don't think this was the case of an issue within the locker room. I think he's looking for something different as you stated.

Maybe we can pick up some of Jimbo's heralded players that were just suspended?

On Mountaineer Talk last night, Clark said they changed the way they did things and that found some guys that will get playing time in the second half of the season. This may be a subset of that.
Also, remember they moved Ethan Johnson to a safety role before he got hurt.

Re: Kaleb Dawson Transfers
That brings up the argument of should we set visits early to avoid the bad weather or bring in recruits late in the fall so they can see it before they get up here and waste a semester? It really can be a lot and like you said some just don't like it here once they are here for more than a weekend.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 11:07 amHennigan and Alex Gray both talked about how few guys finish 4 or 5 years on the team. I know we have the super seniors but with this 2023 class I wonder how many more spots we have because if just half pan out we would only have 7 left in 3-4 years.
