Had time? Which game did you watch?ASUTed wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:26 pmWe are obviously headed nowhere this year, our QB is clearly ineffective. What exactly is the point of not getting a young QB some time under center? Just shear stubbornness or what? It really doesn’t matter what happens in practice now, we are done, 5-5, we need to be preparing for next year. They have nearly benched Peoples , 8 carries, but somehow CB keeps getting every snap. Mostly had time today and couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.

Perhaps it's not a right skill set, but we didn't have any other options. Navy Shuler and DC Tabscott were not ready to take over. Could have probably got another transfer portal QB, but we needed experience in that room. CB provided that leadership.
Fun fact -- if Pedersen was never hired, we would have had Zac Thomas again last year and Chase wouldn't even been here.

I am told there were other transfers available but "pedigree" won out.And yes he is a great kid , with a great family ...AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 9:24 pmPerhaps it's not a right skill set, but we didn't have any other options. Comments like this just convince me that some of y’all don’t understand that these are actual people and not just commodities.TractorApp wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 8:26 pmChase Brice, or any other player, is not bigger than the program. Do what is in the best interest of the program. If Chase is the type player that I think he is, he will rally around his teammates and cheer and coach them up.
Ask yourself, what kind of message does that send to your underclassmen. “Hey thanks for bleeding your heart out for the last two years but I don’t need you anymore so eat shit on the sidelines for your last two games”.
Then start next year asking those younger guys to bleed their hearts out for you too because you care about them.
See how that works out for you long term.

This is the worst thread of the season, and that my friends is terribly impressive.

I know we are all disappointed thus far but it Makes complete sense to bench your starters when you still have a bowl game to play for. Like I said…these takes

Coastal can win games with their 3rd string qb. (mccall sat this week, and sat last week at times). We can’t win games with our best (debatable) qb we’ve ever had. But yes, people blaming CB7 never played the game after middle or high school.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 7:50 pmWhen Brice had time it was because he made time. And Cam was injured. Looked like a stinger where he temporarily lost feeling in one of his extremities. Unless you're suggesting they potentially ruin the kids career... We aren't Coastal...

I believe CCU used their true expected 2nd string QB. The guy that came in against us was a primarily running QB..and played yesterday

That’s a really interesting “what if?” There we’re folks, including myself at times, who were ready for Zac to move on just like they are Chase.AppStateNews wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 9:24 pmPerhaps it's not a right skill set, but we didn't have any other options. Said 3rd string QB is also a senior that has played in every game this year....311neers wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 12:02 pmCoastal can win games with their 3rd string qb. I feel it may get worse. I know we have it in us to burn it all to the ground. Sadly.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Maybe this thread just needs an answer. The point of continuing with CB is to try and win our last 2 (maybe 3) games.

Chase needs to sit, point blank period. He has a strong arm because he is big. He’s also slow bc he is big. Name a single top 25 team who has a big QB… that’s right, crickets! I tried to be PG rated with this response, but for those who can’t read in between the lines, big also means much too big without the necessary lean factor that allows for the element of fast twitch muscles to negate the “big” factor.

Don’t govern yourself. Let the expletives fly. You’re gonna say something nonsensical anyway so you might as well get your money’s worth.teller wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 2:56 pmChase needs to sit, point blank period. Re: What’s the point of continuing with CB?
Stroud is big barely runs- has like 80 yards rushing with a 44 yarder. Hooker is big. DJU at Clemson is about the same size as Chase.

Re: What’s the point of continuing with CB?
If Clemson manages to make the CFP by default, they will get waxed. And for CJ, 217/218 vs 235-240+ is night and day difference. Bottom line, Clemson is overrated and Stroud would walk the dog on CB. It’s time to begin our progression back to relevance, start Burger and Kanye the last two games. If we want to RS Kanye, simply don’t play him the bowl game assuming he and Burger ball out the last two reg season games. It’s not rocket science, unless rules have changed…allowed 4 games and still able to RS. But I digress, I’m just another regular joe blow who doesn’t know anything. 🥴
