Hopeful he can bring a bull or 2 from Cincy or CMU. 1 hire down, now we await the DC announcement.

Cummings must really love CMU, 5 different stops at CMU in his career, wow.
Did Cincy employee the same blocking scheme under Fickell that we use? Do the value the same skill sets?
I only watched their bowl game and was not paying close attention to their block schemes. I would imagine that Shawn is hiring him to maintain our current scheme. Some are much better under one scheme than the other but many can do both zone and man.

So O linemen that are really good cannot adapt to different schemes? I would prefer to bring in an OL and coaches that have run our scheme before but I would not say it is the only factor.

Absolutely not the only factor. But, is a big factor and needs to be looked in to before making an offer. But there's zero reason to just assume because a guy played line at a bigger school he's going to succeed here. And scheme is a large part of success.

Already throwing out offers on the recruiting trail to 2024 HS kids! I like this guy already. Go get em! Seems like a great hire for SC out the gate.
