ECU fans watching last night thinking how bad their team must really be
And to top it off for them they lost their likely top 100 draft pick Shavon Revel Jr to a torn ACL in practice on a special teams play. I will be interested to see how they do against Liberty.
saw that, real shame. pretty much a consensus top 100 pick out of Greenville.

We barely beat a 3 win team. Got blown out by South Alabama. We have fallen so low it’s pathetic.

The worst part is it looked like not a single player gave a damn.
Horn gave a damn, that man ran 97 yards to make that tackle knowing our defense couldn't stop them even if he somehow caught him. I'm not ready to throw a blanket statement out like that.
Haywood was giving it his all, too.

This, I came here after the ECU game and a few were touting ECU to be a good team. I shook my head and thought we are in a world of hurt.

Haywood did run hard. He would start for me next week. He may not want to start.

You know I see this a lot when a player or players get criticized. Why is it that a critique is only valid if the person doing it is will to stand up and possibly have a physical confrontation with said player or players?

I unfortunately don't have that type of access or I would. Everyone's you know what should be chewed out from Thursday, except for the few mentioned in this thread. The players and coaches who have what it takes will respond and I think we'll see that on Saturday. Those who don't will be looking for new schools in December.

My thoughts on all this...Why don't you guys quit bitching and moaning and do something about it. Doug has a phone, call him. There's a NIL collective, support it. Yeah, we got some competition now. Big f'n deal. Crying on a message board for 5 straight damn days doesn't do anything. We asked for this when we moved up and now we've got it. Coaches are coaching, we need to do a little better with the players and that takes some $. Step up or step out. Don't know about you but the future doesn't scare me at all. It's a dip in the market. Time to buy in brother. #beatliberty and let's get this thing back on track.

I believe people can be critical of a bad performance on a message board without wanting a physical confrontation

So some of you would honestly (if theoretically given the opportunity) would walk into our locker room and would publicly criticize the players? Assume that they would simply sit and listen without any repercussions you would seriously do that?

For my part I just find it kind of crazy that some think criticism can’t be valid if not done face to face with the players or coaches. I’m not for a bunch of name calling but saying the team quit last week isn’t even close to out of bounds. I also find it odd that some think the players would physically assault me if I did criticize them face to face. I was in the App locker room as a player and it wouldn’t have crossed my mind to assault a fan who criticized my play. Especially an adult. To be clear no one would have had an opportunity to criticize my play because I never made it off the sidelines on game day. But still that’s just an odd thought for me.

Well, they are adults. Their peers are deployed around the world serving their country and in some cases dying. But let's baby them because we can't hurt their weee privileged baby athlete feelings.

Their peers are sitting behind cash registers be yelled at, spit on, and sometimes attacked by the public.

I've seen people publicly rip every public employee they can get their hands on.

I'll use our big App program. Ask a teacher about people publicly ripping in front of anyone.

If some of the people on here were given the ability to walk in and criticize them then what do you think the players are going to do? Beat them up? Attack them?

I'm not condoning going crazy on these young men, but on the flipside the babying that happens these days with grown adults is nuts. If you can't handle public criticism them don't play a sport in public or get a public job.

When I asked that locker room question I didn’t necessarily mean that some player would physically hurt the person. It was just a general question as to whether you, given the golden opportunity would step from behind a keyboard and say to a team’s face that same stuff being spewed endlessly on half a dozen threads. It has nothing to do with violence.

For my part I would not seek out that opportunity but if I was somehow put in that position I would have no issue saying what I have said on this message board. Most of you quit last Thursday, USA has better athletes and our coaches haven’t recruited well. That’s pretty much what I have said and I would stand by those comments.
