I didn't think the article was all that negative. What do you want, we are 1-2 and the first 2 games were complete disasters. What's more troubling to me is that he Charlotte Observer did not write a single sentence about the Elon game. Nothing.

They glossed over UNCC's last two beat downs but even they really aren't getting the amount of coverage you might expect.

I complained once by email to the observer about lack of coverage and was told their readers are looking for more of a national picture when it comes to sports. They don't see themselves as a local paper. Like everything else in Charlotte they have an over inflated self image.

I'm not sure they can afford to have a local presence. Most of their stuff is AP now, they have made deep cuts in recent years (like most papers). This isn't a defense because the Disturber is just that, but I think they use that "national paper" garbage to justify running mostly AP pieces.
