Other than App State, I cannot think of a program in the FCS that I have more respect for.

Great game between 2 of the best teams in FCS...
One of my favorite Tailgates in a LONG time. Then a great game on top of it!

I gotta give the student section some love for really getting the crowd going in the 2nd half. My favority moment was when the clock hit 0:00 and the Apps still had the lead. Great, great ballgame!

Moore was a beast. I loved watching J Kim get PO'd after missing him and getting run over by him a couple of times. Did you see Moore's first big screen run where JK pushed him out of bounds? Moore punched him in the head. Was not a stiff arm. He switched the ball to his left hand, pulled back his arm and, with a closed fist, punched JK right in the head. I said to myself this guy is going to be a load right then. To be honest it should have been called as it was not even close to a stiff arm but what can you do. JK and the D clamped down on him in the 2nd half (minus the one oops of a screen). If we play them again this year or before next years game I might have to find a really pretty girl with mono to send to him. Just as a good luck gift. :D
In regards to the stiff arm, I thought I saw that but was from the other side of the field. Also, I thought the new rule on hurdling should have been called, you are not supposed to be able to lead with a foot extended. Several pictures show Moore doing this.
Moore is a stud. I wish we had a RB like him. I also thought he punched with fist closed when live at the game but watched on ESPN3 replay and it was with palm of hand and within reasonable limits. He just made a good play. On hurdling, it is our job to stop him. More power to him. He is short husky guy so it isn't like he is going to be high jumping or anything but he was still impressive with his agility and speed in that size package. I am envious that we don't have him.

So many great moments in this game, it is hard to pick one but I will go with the performance of Steven Miller on Appalachian's final drive. Really showed a lot of toughness and persistence. He'd been struggling to get yards all night on the interior and on the offense's last stand, they finally opened some holes for him and he hit them hard. He got the last 30 yards of that drive on the ground and the single highlight has to be his 15-yard run that ended with Miller laying wood on Bo Tully, the Montana safety. Great to see him fight until the end, find the end zone for a second time and put a nice lick on a guy he is giving up 20 pounds to. Jamal and the talented receivers are going to be the focal point of the offense but it was nice to see us make a statement on the ground for the first time in a while.

Honorable mentions:
-Long reception by Sean Price over two Griz defenders that sparked the first TD drive in the 4th quarter
-Clutch 3rd down reception by Malachi Jones right at the sticks to keep the second TD drive in the 4th quarter alive
-Big hit by Henry Barnes on the kick-off
-End zone INT from Demetrius McCray to seal the deal
-Pass deflection by Jamill Lott in the 4th on a nice pass that could have been a huge play for the Griz

I love reading the comments but I don't understand the "getting the monkey of our back" tone in regard to beating Montana that some have mentioned. I mean we've played them like twice in school history. Yes we lost two close games but I've never felt that Montana had our number.

I also love their running back, Moore. Just an awesome force to watch.

My Favorites and Non Favorites:
Barnes hit on the KO Return...wow, that got me going
Moore #35 is a football player from another era...would love to have that guy wearing the black and dare i say..gulp...yellow.
Montana QB could be really good, was very ellusive and made several plays when none was there, reminded me of a #14...
Our guys played with emotion, but controlled. No excessive celebrations, I really like the attitude that this group is showing
Jamil Lott played a solid game at corner after workong primarily at Safety since spring, we needed him to step up and he did.
The Rainbows over the field were incredible.
Non Favorites
Offenses ability to convert 3rd and 4th and Short situations (last year we blamed the committee), maybe some of the blame lies in our Offensive philosophy which doesnt play well to short yardage situations
We threw very little down field even against single coverage, me thinks our pass protection is the underlying reason for this.
Offensive line was erratic, but Montana was huge. This group will get better, they are just getting the pampers off now.
Band Flags colored PURPLE!!! Enough said.
