It also doesn't help neulion has been down to order tickets online. I'm sure that will deter some people from purchasing tickets and will allow others to wait for the weather.

I am ever the optimist, so I'll go with good ole Huntersville: 28,078. Go Apps!

At the risk of being labeled a Negative Nellie, I think there are several things working against us: Lackluster opponent, a less than stellar weather forecast, an un-App like 2013 season, division among the fan base over the FBS move and the Moore departure. All of this makes me nervous about Saturday's attendance. I'm going to go with something around 22,000 and hope it's much higher.

Why do we continue to use Newlion for anything at all? They screw up something every chance they get. Either somebody in the PTB doesn't care, they're getting a kickback, or Newlion is the only one available.boonetown1 wrote:It also doesn't help neulion has been down to order tickets online. Or maybe they crashed due to the unexpected overwhelming ticket demand.

Good points Glenn, but hopefully the fan base having had almost a year and a half to digest the FBS move that that is behind us. I know it is for me.appst89 wrote:At the risk of being labeled a Negative Nellie, I think there are several things working against us: Lackluster opponent, a less than stellar weather forecast, an un-App like 2013 season, division among the fan base over the FBS move and the Moore departure. Re: Attendance for Campbell?
My heart says we'll pack the house. My head says the weather, last year's performance, and a night game will keep many away who might otherwise be there. I'm thinking of parents with very small children and those who live a couple of hours away from Boone when I'm thinking of folks who might not show.
If I've got a toddler who has a nighttime routine that has him in bed at 8:00, I'm not likely to drag him to a 6:00 kickoff knowing he'll hit "cranky" before the half. Also, those of us who are getting a little longer in the tooth don't necessarily love driving down the mountain in the middle of the night and can't always afford the overnight stay.
I'm planning on being in my spot to tailgate and planning on being at my seat from BOD entrance to the Tennessee Waltz. Then I'll drive down the mountain so I can teach Sunday school
Man! I love football season!!!! See you at The Rock!

Re: Attendance for Campbell?
You are spot on with these concerns, all of which apply to me. However, for this one we're renting a cabin for the weekend with some friends, so the moms and kids will be skipping the game, and the fellas will be at The Rock rain or shine. Can't wait!DaphneUrquhart wrote:My heart says we'll pack the house. My head says the weather, last year's performance, and a night game will keep many away who might otherwise be there. Re: Attendance for Campbell?
Good girl on all fronts, Daphne. We more than packed the house, though on that Halloween night a few years ago vs what some on here like to call "the smallest private" Wofford. The only excuse for a small crowd is not the rain forecast but the electrical storm component of it.DaphneUrquhart wrote:My heart says we'll pack the house. We need to stop raising pansies in this country, my 5 and 3 year old will be in attendance.

Re: Attendance for Campbell?
Depends on where you sit, your children, and whether or not a 9:00 Sunday school two hours away even on game weeks is part of "Raise 'em right". I believe my one year old grandson may make it 'til halftime, though I'd understand completely if he and his mom stayed home. By the time he's 5 he'll want to stay up no matter how late the game is.Saint3333 wrote:We need to stop raising pansies in this country, my 5 and 3 year old will be in attendance.

Re: Attendance for Campbell?
I think that is probably about where things will be. With the weather looking ominous, I don't think we can expect a typical first home game crowd.appst89 wrote:At the risk of being labeled a Negative Nellie, I think there are several things working against us: Lackluster opponent, a less than stellar weather forecast, an un-App like 2013 season, division among the fan base over the FBS move and the Moore departure. Sorry, Saint. My sarcasm detector is broken today. It's been a raw nerves kind of week with no AC (90* inside my office) and a dead computer on top of that.Saint3333 wrote:It was a joke, hopefully you know me better than that. Man tough crowd around here lately.
