Re: Game 2 Campbell Football ONLY Eval
I've never had 25,000 people cheer for something I did, so I can't imagine the adrenaline rush players have when they score on a big play or turnover. I see nothing wrong with that player celebrating for a moment with his fans, as long as he's not showing up the opponent. I do have more of an issue with another player joining in, and have no tolerance with someone leaving the sidelines. The exception being the Miracle on the Mountain. I'm with DJ on that one. Who cares!?!

In his past he was AFL based on a comment I heard, but had moved up to SB. I think that happened a few years ago from what I seem to be remember hearing.Gonzo wrote:Is this a typo and the head ref was from Atlanta or did he really come from Arena Football League to call the game?AppState89 wrote:They were Sun Belt officials... One of the unsportsmanlike penalties was on Upshaw, I believe for leaving the bench to celebrate. The other was on two of our offensive lineman.appbanker wrote:Unless I missed something, I think the penalty for the Pick Six was because the player ran through the end zone and engaged the student section in the end zone seating. I don't think that should be a penalty. In my opinion, it should only be a penalty if it is directed toward the other team or the other teams fans.

I saw an interview with an anonymous ref saying the areas of emphasis this year were celebration (once again) and personnel leaving the sidelines during plays.
I saw it. They were doing the superman (Cam Newton) thing after we scored. They were around the 20yrd line or so. I didn't think it was bad as most of the players were in front of them, but I guess the ref didn't like it.
