I didn't like it either. I do like the idea that was floating around a couple weeks ago about letting a different athlete, student, alum etc. each week do the welcome to the rock bit. I can't attest to any money he's donated, but I can tell you that he is restricted from certain non-monetary contributions because he's on his first deal/contract.
