Yes, I can verify this. Well, sort of. My 2nd cousin lives in Talahassee (sp?). Big Alabama fan. She says even 'Bama fans envy the Ole Miss tailgates with the chandeliers.

I have been to almost every Acc team, and Florida, and none of them even comes close to how they do it at Alabama, if you guys ever get a chance to go, do it, if for no other reason just to see how they tailgate, got to be the best in the country, cant imagine anyone else does it any better.
LSU was pretty good in 2008. The game was moved up to 10 am so people started pulling in about 10 pm the night before.
I kinda remember that day...after being in the French Quarter until the wee hours of the morning...constant calls of "tiger Bait" I do remember. Plus it was Sourhern Pride weekend in NO and that made forsome unusual sights.

I'll never forget that trip. We drove and didn't make it back to Greenville, SC until Monday afternoon. Because of the Hurricane traffic, it took us 10 hours to make it to Hattiesburg. We got a hotel and hit the road bright and early on Sunday morning. After 8 more hours on Sunday we made it to Birmingham and got another hotel. Then hit the road again Monday morning and made a normal ride back to Greenville.

Not nearly as fun as our 12 hour trip back from Ann Arbor in '07. :D

Yea, I left BR went north to Alexandria to drop friends at the airport and started driving back to Tampa. Got as far as Tallahassee on Sunday night.

Dub, or anybody else for that matter-Couple of questions. I was not able to see the game or any highlights, what I know from it is what I have seen on here. Up until now we looked smaller than the oppposition and appeared to get pushed around. What was Troy's size compared to us? What was different in this game than the others?-Effort? Have seen statements about aggressive pressure on D and playing press cover on the corners, I hope this is the new style and not a one time thing. Clue me in, man!

Troy's lines were smaller than the ones that we have been playing. But were on par with ours. Having said that , I think that we are still going to have trouble with the bigger lines until our beef gets stronger. The guys played with great effort. In my opinion, Troy was not very good. My take on this team is that the success of our schemes are going to work when our lines are on equal footing with other teams. That's going to take a little time.

The lines we'll see going forward will be as follows:

GA St - weaker than others especially on defense
U LM - slightly better especially defense
Ark St. - better and deeper
ULL - bigger and deeper
Idaho - similar to Troy

Ga States OL is pretty big but may be weak. Will need to get penetration to disrupt Arbuckle.
