The problem with Moore, at the end, was that he didn't replace his outgoing assistants with a serviceable hire. McLain, Glenn, and our revolving door of Grad Assistant WR coaches weren't comparable to Elliott, Satt, and Galloway...nor was Dale Jones a comparable replacement for Wiley.

It wasn't "attrition." It was our assistant getting a head coaching job and promoting several of our assistants.
We should expect to lose a couple of assistants every year. We'll lose more if one of the assistants gets a head coaching gig.
Charlie Cobb wasn't using it as a reason to "fire a coach" he was citing it as something he wasn't sure Coach Moore was capable of doing any more at that stage in his career. It was specific to Jerry Moore - and considering the last round of hires he had made, it was easy to see why he felt that way.
