It was much more lopsided in favor of the Sun Belt the previous 2 seasons. That could have been the point the announcers were making.

Unfortunately, CUSA had the Sun Belt's number this season, going 4-0.

Southern Mississippi 21 - Appalachian St 20 W
UTEP 42 - New Mexico St 24 W
Louisiana Tech 48 - Louisiana Lafayette 20 W
Alabama Birmingham 48 - Troy St 10 W

The Sun Belt does have wins in the last 2 bowl meetings with CUSA, however, and are 17-13 since 2010.
Thank you. Maybe I drunk, dream or something.
No, you didn't dream it, they said that in the Idaho game. They were just wrong. Maybe quoting from past seasons or something.

Everyone had the Sun Belt's number this season. The entire conference's OOC performance was a complete disaster.

Well according to our friends in CUSA, perception is everything when it comes to the hierarchy. ;)

In 2011, 2012, and 2013, the Sun Belt did own CUSA on the football field. There's no denying it. Overall 16-6 record, with 2-1 record in bowl games. Even being 0-4 this season still won't level the records (and just barely makes it more respectable). Everyone visit the site below for more information on conference vs. conference records.

Why would you not be happy in the Sun Belt? I like the Sun Belt, it has some natural rivalries and isn't pieced together. Let us stay and grow in this conference, and hope the SBC makes good decisions in terms of future invites.

Got to dance with the one that brung ya for a while.

I think we've created some big rivalries with AR-STATE (Battle for the ASU)... ULL-Cajuns... and of course.. our evil step twin.. GaSo... App and GaSo have the real promise of helping make the SB even more competitive than it was.. We can help elevate the play throughout the conference.

Does CUSA even have a tv contract going forward after 2015?

Our conference rivals will change regardless of whether we stay or go. This is what I hated about moving up and what I hated about staying FCS.

College football needs to stabilize and we've got to get into regional conferences that make sense.

Specifically, somebody has got to recognize the absurdity of the "media market" argument. It's about history and alumni bases. Not specific location.

The only thing I find intriguing is the possibility of having some close-by schools for in-conference scheduling in Marshall, ODU and UNC-Harrisburg. Really, I want to be where I'm wanted, and for now, that's in the Sun Belt. No sour grapes here, I just know that wanting what you got is better than getting what you wanted.

If CUSA is intelligent enough to understand that we are part of the Charlotte and Triad TV markets we might get an invite.....but im not holding my breath and the SunBelt invited us and it would not be fight to bail on them right now.

I just know that there is an AD in Atlanta jumping up and down saying "It's me again. Pick me! Pick me!"

Qualifications
1)Football team we beat 44-0 even BEFORE we turned it around.
2) 2-33 record in football over the past 3 years
2)Little/No fan support
3)Little/No football history
4) Large market

Perfect match for CUSA!

I agree with the sentiment of sticking with the SBC for a while, but geographically CUSA does make more sense. I very much worry that travel costs in the SBC will eventually take a heavy toll.

I agree. How long can we afford to send the non-revenue, barely attended sports teams out west for games? How does it work for say, volleyball? Does the team fly to New Mexico and Texas for single matches? That has to cost a fortune. At least with baseball the team plays a three game set over a weekend.
