I like the idea of the paddle. As suggested, it could reference the origins of both schools as teacher's colleges and also symbolize the butt whoopin' that we attempt to give each other each year. Works for me.
Some folks on here are a little over confident that App and GaSo will continue to dominate. This past season was great, and promises great things ahead, but I hardly think that the rest of the conference is ready to concede the championship just yet. Louisiana and Arkansas State will be gunning for us this year. I'm glad we have them at our house. I just hope we make that MEAN something again. I'm ready to see another record setting string of home wins!

As a TEACHER with 42 years experience I am not in favor of a paddle representing us as a former teacher's college. Now if it was referred to rep'ng Greek life, I would be ok with a paddle.
