My analysis of CCU can be summed up in one sentence. Our kicker ran down CCU's punt return guy.

There is a lot of young inexperienced talent on the field. There are going to be inconsistencies in their performance from week to week. Missed assignments are going to happen. The two glaring problems that my mind has focused on is the fact that we still don't defend the pass correctly, (imo) and the fact that our defense can't get off the field when they have the offense in 3rd and long. Yes, I know the CCU was 3 for 13 on 3rd down conversions, but there have been too many 3 and 8 or more that have gone for 1st downs. That appears to be a mental breakdown and should be addressed.

Many coaches do their firing up during the week, in the locker room, etc. Every coach doesn't have to be Mr Rah Rah. Too, much of the firing up so to speak falls on the team mates and especially the captains. Focus is just as important as the rah rah stuff. That's just my take, AG1.

FWIW, our high school team was not permitted to talk on the bus on the way to away games and not on the way back unless they won.
Thanks for letting me know. I really wasn't trying to be negative about it. I didn't realize that he could talk to his assistant coaches on the sidelines through his mic. I just thought that he was giving them full throttle to do what they thought best. I still would like to see him getting "moore" into the game than just standing around.
He needs a "15 yarder" every now and then IMO...

Oh, JM has had a 15 yarder or two before, but that is uncharacteristic of him and drew much criticism on here.
BTW, I enjoyed your initial post. It posed some good questions.

My internet has been down since just before the end of the game yesterday. I come on and try and catch up on posts and truly thought it said FIRE MOOSE. I was thinking "what did I do" until I reread the title. Figured WV might have finally had enough of my jokes. :D :D

lol You should know by now that the "Fire Moore" or "Moore should step down and retire" routine would be coming on consistently or at least intermittentently. There were even posters on here wanting him to retire soon after the Michigan upset and each of the three NC's.
As to WV, he's a good sport and takes things in stride. He has a tough skin. :)
